Destiny 2 Infusion Planning Guide
What This Calculator Does
Infusion keeps favorite gear useful after better drops arrive. This calculator compares your current item with the item you plan to consume. It estimates the final power, total gain, Enhancement Core need, and Seasonal Bonus Power material need. It also checks your stock, then shows shortages or surplus materials.
Why Infusion Matters
Players often earn higher drops faster than they can upgrade every favorite weapon or armor piece. Infusing every small jump can waste resources. A planned upgrade helps you save cores for weapons, Exotics, and armor rolls that actually matter. It also helps when several items need the same treatment before a dungeon, raid, Nightfall, or seasonal activity.
Base Power And Seasonal Bonus
The tool separates base power from Seasonal Bonus Power. Base power is the long term value on the gear. Seasonal bonus is temporary and may refresh when the season changes. Because of that, the calculator lets you set both values. It also includes editable caps, so the page can still work after future updates.
Material Planning
The result area shows Enhancement Cores, Unstable Cores, gain per item, and total gain. You can enter your available stock. The calculator then shows whether you are ready to infuse or need to farm more materials. A cost per power score is also shown. A lower score usually means better value.
When To Infuse
Do not infuse every small upgrade. Wait when the gain is tiny, unless the item is required for a build. Infuse sooner when the item is a favorite weapon, a strong Exotic, or a high stat armor piece. Also infuse before activities where power affects survival and damage.
Using The Results
After submitting the form, the answer appears above the form. Export the result as CSV for spreadsheets. Export the PDF report for quick sharing or saving. Use the notes field to record the build, activity, or reason behind the upgrade decision. Change the cost settings whenever Bungie changes the economy. Good records also stop repeat mistakes. Compare saved reports over time. You will see which slots consume most resources, which builds deserve upgrades, and when patience gives stronger value. Review old exports before major power resets.
