Destiny 2 Infusing Calculator

Plan Destiny 2 gear infusion with clear costs. Compare current power, target power, and savings. Use smart results before spending cores or unstable resources.

Calculator

Formula Used

Final base power = higher valid donor base power, limited by the base cap.

Base gain = max(0, donor base power - current base power).

Enhancement Cores = items to infuse × core cost per base infusion.

Seasonal gain = max(0, donor seasonal bonus - current seasonal bonus).

Unstable Cores = items to infuse × ceil(seasonal gain ÷ seasonal levels per unstable core).

Total shown power = base power + Seasonal Bonus Power.

Cost per power point = total material units ÷ total power gained.

How To Use This Calculator

  1. Enter the item name and gear slot.
  2. Add your current base power and donor base power.
  3. Add Seasonal Bonus Power values if needed.
  4. Enter your available material stock.
  5. Set your preferred infusion threshold.
  6. Press Calculate to view the result above the form.
  7. Use CSV or PDF buttons to save the report.

Destiny 2 Infusion Planning Guide

What This Calculator Does

Infusion keeps favorite gear useful after better drops arrive. This calculator compares your current item with the item you plan to consume. It estimates the final power, total gain, Enhancement Core need, and Seasonal Bonus Power material need. It also checks your stock, then shows shortages or surplus materials.

Why Infusion Matters

Players often earn higher drops faster than they can upgrade every favorite weapon or armor piece. Infusing every small jump can waste resources. A planned upgrade helps you save cores for weapons, Exotics, and armor rolls that actually matter. It also helps when several items need the same treatment before a dungeon, raid, Nightfall, or seasonal activity.

Base Power And Seasonal Bonus

The tool separates base power from Seasonal Bonus Power. Base power is the long term value on the gear. Seasonal bonus is temporary and may refresh when the season changes. Because of that, the calculator lets you set both values. It also includes editable caps, so the page can still work after future updates.

Material Planning

The result area shows Enhancement Cores, Unstable Cores, gain per item, and total gain. You can enter your available stock. The calculator then shows whether you are ready to infuse or need to farm more materials. A cost per power score is also shown. A lower score usually means better value.

When To Infuse

Do not infuse every small upgrade. Wait when the gain is tiny, unless the item is required for a build. Infuse sooner when the item is a favorite weapon, a strong Exotic, or a high stat armor piece. Also infuse before activities where power affects survival and damage.

Using The Results

After submitting the form, the answer appears above the form. Export the result as CSV for spreadsheets. Export the PDF report for quick sharing or saving. Use the notes field to record the build, activity, or reason behind the upgrade decision. Change the cost settings whenever Bungie changes the economy. Good records also stop repeat mistakes. Compare saved reports over time. You will see which slots consume most resources, which builds deserve upgrades, and when patience gives stronger value. Review old exports before major power resets.

FAQs

What does this Destiny 2 calculator estimate?

It estimates power gain, Enhancement Core cost, Unstable Core cost, material shortages, and an upgrade recommendation for selected gear.

Does it use Upgrade Modules?

No. The default setup uses Enhancement Cores for normal infusion. You can change the cost fields if your setup needs different values.

What is Seasonal Bonus Power?

Seasonal Bonus Power is a temporary power value on gear. It can affect shown power and may require separate seasonal materials.

Why can I edit the caps?

Destiny 2 power caps can change. Editable caps help the calculator remain useful after future updates or seasonal adjustments.

What does same item discount mean?

It lets you estimate a reduced cost when you want to treat matching items differently. Leave it off for standard planning.

When should I avoid infusion?

Avoid infusion when the gain is small, the item is not important, or you lack enough materials for better upgrades.

Can I export my result?

Yes. Use the CSV button for spreadsheet records. Use the PDF button to save or share a simple report.

Is this useful for armor and weapons?

Yes. Select the correct slot, enter the power values, and compare the material cost before upgrading either gear type.
