Formula Used

The calculator uses dry matter as the base. It then converts each ingredient back to as-fed weight.

DMI per head = body weight × DMI percent

Adjusted DMI = base DMI + milk yield × 0.10 + daily gain kg × 0.45

CP required = adjusted DMI × target CP percent

TDN required = adjusted DMI × target TDN percent

As-fed ingredient = ingredient dry matter kg ÷ ingredient dry matter percent
