Formula Used

First level HP = maximum hit die + Constitution modifier + per level bonuses.

Later level HP = selected die gain + Constitution modifier + per level bonuses.

Maximum HP = sum of all final level gains + extra flat HP.

Effective HP = current HP + temporary HP.

Current HP = maximum HP - damage taken.

Short rest estimate = hit dice spent × max(0, expected die roll + Constitution modifier).

The short rest estimate uses available hit dice and Constitution. It is not a promise. Rolls can swing high or low. It gives a planning number for potion use, retreat choices, and marching order.
