Formula Used

Breeding score: ((male tier × male level) + (female tier × female level)) × mastery factor × rate factor.

Mastery factor: 1 + (training mastery bonus ÷ 100).

Rate factor: breeding rate ÷ 16.

Estimated center tier: parent tier average + level boost + mastery boost + rate boost.

Tier probability weight: e ^ (-1.45 × distance from estimated center tier). Range adjustments reduce unlikely far results.

Expected tier: sum of each tier multiplied by its normalized probability.

Expected target value: desired tier or better chance × target foal value.

Estimated net value: expected target value - silver cost - exchange parent loss value.

This calculator is a planning estimator. It is not an official hidden game table.

BDO Horse Breeding Planning Guide

Why Planning Matters

Horse breeding in BDO rewards patient planning. A random attempt can still work, yet better notes make every stable slot feel more useful. This calculator helps you compare two parents before you spend silver, time, and breed counts. It does not promise the official game table. It gives a clear planning estimate from tier, level, mastery bonus, mode, and cost values.

What The Inputs Mean

Parent tier is the main strength signal. Parent level adds another important push. A level thirty parent usually gives stronger projected outcomes than a low level parent of the same tier. Training mastery is entered as a percentage bonus. Use the value shown by your current gear, buffs, and life skill setup. Breed counts help you avoid planning a normal breed that cannot be started. Costs include listing fees, outside male fees, stable expenses, or any value you want to subtract.

Reading The Results

The result panel shows a breeding score, expected tier, gender split, target chance, and estimated value. The probability table spreads the possible foal tiers from one through eight. A higher expected tier means the pair looks stronger. A higher target chance means the selected desired tier is more likely within this estimator. The value section is optional. Enter your own projected foal value if you track market prices or personal stable goals.

Normal Breeding Or Exchange

Normal breeding keeps the parents, but it needs remaining breed counts. It also uses a wait time. The default is one hundred forty four minutes. Exchange gives an immediate foal estimate, but the parents are treated as lost. This makes the parent loss field important. Use it when you want to compare exchange value against another breeding plan.

Best Use Cases

Use this page when you are sorting many horses. Test several pairs and export each result. Keep the CSV file as a stable journal. Save the PDF when you want a clean record for one strong pair. The example table gives sample inputs, but your own values matter most. Treat the calculator as a decision aid, not a guarantee. BDO can change, and hidden tables may differ from public estimates. Review outcomes after every game update.

FAQs

Is this an official BDO breeding calculator?

No. It is a planning estimator. It helps compare pairs using visible inputs such as tier, level, mastery bonus, mode, cost, and target value.

Why does horse level matter?

Higher levels usually make a parent more attractive for breeding plans. This calculator increases the estimated center tier when parent levels are stronger.

What does training mastery bonus do?

It adjusts the score and center tier estimate. Enter zero when you do not want mastery to affect the result.

What is the breeding rate field?

It is an adjustable rate setting for testing. The default value is sixteen. Change it only when you want a different planning model.

What is exchange mode?

Exchange mode gives an immediate estimate, but it treats both parent horses as lost. Add parent loss value for better net value planning.

Can I download the result?

Yes. After calculating, use the CSV or PDF buttons in the result panel above the form.

Why can results differ from game outcomes?

The game may use hidden tables, updates, and random rolls. This page gives a clear estimate, not a guaranteed foal result.

Should I always level parents to thirty?

Level thirty often improves planning strength, but time matters. Compare lower levels, costs, and target chance before deciding.
