League of Legends LP Calculator

Estimate League Points with MMR gap, streak, placement, dodge, and decay controls. Track progress easily. Plan your next rank climb with clearer confidence today.

Advanced LP Estimator

This calculator estimates LP movement using visible rank, expected gains, expected losses, MMR gap, win rate, streaks, dodge penalties, AFK penalties, and decay. The real system uses hidden data, so treat this as a planning tool.

Ignored for Master and above.
Positive means MMR is above visible rank.
Use negative numbers for losing streaks.

Example Data Table

Scenario Current LP MMR Gap Result Penalty Estimated Net LP
High MMR Win 42 +120 Win 0 +34
Low MMR Loss 18 -160 Loss 0 -36
Placement Loss 0 +50 Placement Loss 0 0
Win With Dodge Penalty 75 +30 Win 5 +22

Formula Used

The calculator uses an estimation model because hidden MMR values are not visible to players.

MMR Modifier = clamp(MMR Gap / 400, -0.35, 0.35)

Win Rate Modifier = clamp((Win Rate - 50) / 100, -0.10, 0.10)

Streak Modifier = clamp(Recent Streak × 0.015, -0.08, 0.08)

Estimated Win LP = Base Gain × (1 + MMR Modifier + Win Rate Modifier + Streak Modifier)

Estimated Loss LP = Base Loss × (1 - MMR Modifier - Win Rate Modifier - Streak Modifier)

Net LP Change = Match LP - Dodge Penalty - AFK Penalty - Decay Penalty

Positive MMR gap increases estimated gains and reduces estimated losses. Negative MMR gap reduces estimated gains and increases estimated losses. This matches the visible behavior many ranked players notice during climbs.

How to Use This Calculator

  1. Select your current ranked tier and division.
  2. Enter your current LP before the match or penalty.
  3. Choose the match result type, such as win, loss, or placement.
  4. Add your usual LP gain and LP loss values.
  5. Enter an estimated MMR gap. Use positive values for strong LP gains.
  6. Add recent win rate and streak details.
  7. Include dodge, AFK, or decay penalties when needed.
  8. Press the calculate button and review the result above the form.

How League Points Are Estimated

LP Is a Visible Progress Score

League Points show your progress inside ranked divisions. A win usually adds LP. A loss usually removes LP. Reaching 100 LP normally moves you into the next division. Falling below zero can move you down. This visible number feels simple. The real ranked system is more layered.

MMR Changes the Feel of Every Result

Hidden MMR is the key reason LP gains can feel uneven. If your MMR is above your visible rank, the system may push you upward. You may gain more LP for wins and lose less LP after defeats. If your MMR is below your rank, the opposite can happen. Wins may feel smaller. Losses may feel heavier.

Why Streaks Matter

Streaks do not work like a simple bonus button. They are useful signals in this estimator because they often reflect MMR movement. A winning streak may indicate that your visible rank is behind your skill level. A losing streak may suggest your current rank is ahead of recent performance. This calculator turns that idea into a small modifier.

Penalties and Special Cases

Ranked progress can also be affected by dodges, leaver penalties, and decay. These are separate from normal match results. A dodge can subtract LP without a played game. Decay can matter in higher ranks after inactive days. Placement games are handled differently because placement losses do not remove LP. Loss prevented games are also special, so this tool includes separate options.

Best Use for Planning

Use the calculator before or after a ranked session. Compare your usual LP gains with your losses. If wins give much more than losses remove, your climb is healthy. If losses remove far more than wins add, focus on stable improvement. The result is an estimate, but it gives a clear planning view.

FAQs

1. Is this the exact League Points formula?

No. The exact ranked formula uses hidden values. This calculator estimates LP movement using public ranked behavior, visible LP changes, MMR gap assumptions, streaks, and penalties.

2. What does positive MMR gap mean?

A positive MMR gap means your hidden skill estimate is above your visible rank. In this tool, it increases win gains and reduces loss deductions.

3. What does negative MMR gap mean?

A negative MMR gap means your hidden skill estimate may be below your visible rank. The calculator lowers gains and increases losses in that case.

4. Why do I gain less LP than my friend?

Your hidden MMR, visible rank, recent results, and queue history may differ. Two players can win the same match and receive different LP.

5. Do placement losses remove LP?

Placement losses are set to zero LP loss in this calculator. Placement wins can still add progress based on the entered base gain and modifiers.

6. How are dodge penalties handled?

The calculator subtracts a selected dodge penalty after match LP. Apex dodge rules can be enabled for a stronger fixed penalty estimate.

7. Can this estimate promotion?

Yes. The calculator carries LP above 100 into the next division. It also estimates demotion when the net LP result falls below zero.

8. Does this work for Master and higher?

Yes, with estimates. Master, Grandmaster, and Challenger use LP and ladder cutoffs. Enter your own regional cutoff values for better planning.
