Example Data Table

Scenario Base Boots Bonus % Slow % Slow Resist % Approx Result
Basic boots route 335 45 0 0 0 380
Small chase buff 335 45 12 0 0 424.40
Heavy slow resisted 340 45 20 40 25 323.40
High speed burst 350 60 55 0 0 548.25

Formula Used

The calculator starts with base movement speed. It adds boots, items, runes, and map based flat values. Then it applies the combined positive percentage bonus.

Effective slow equals slow percentage multiplied by one minus slow resistance. Speed after slow equals boosted speed multiplied by one minus effective slow. A final modifier is then applied.

If raw speed is below 220, the low speed soft cap is used. The adjusted value becomes 110 plus half of the raw value. If raw speed is between 415 and 490, only eighty percent of the excess above 415 is counted. If raw speed is above 490, the value above 490 is counted at half strength.

Travel time equals distance divided by final movement speed.

How To Use This Calculator

Enter the champion base speed first. Add the movement from boots and other flat sources. Add percentage bonuses from items, runes, abilities, terrain, or temporary effects. Enter any slow value and slow resistance. Add a final modifier only when an effect changes final speed directly. Enter the travel distance. Press the calculate button. The result appears above the form. Use the CSV or PDF buttons to save the result.

Advanced LOL Movement Speed Guide

Why Movement Speed Matters

Movement speed decides many small moments in a match. It changes how quickly a champion reaches lane, rotates to objectives, escapes danger, or follows an enemy after a trade. A small value can feel minor, but it often affects spacing and timing.

Flat Speed Inputs

Flat speed is simple. It is added before percentage effects. Boots are the most common source. Some items, map effects, and special states can also add direct movement. This calculator keeps those values separate, so each source is easier to audit.

Percentage Bonuses

Percentage bonuses scale the current flat total. They can come from abilities, runes, items, or temporary zones. When several bonuses are active, the calculator combines them into one positive percentage field group. This makes build comparison faster.

Slows And Resistance

Slows reduce movement after bonuses are considered. Slow resistance lowers the real slow value. For example, a forty percent slow with twenty five percent slow resistance acts like a thirty percent slow. This helps compare defensive choices.

Soft Caps

Very high movement speed is reduced by soft caps. This prevents extreme values from scaling without limit. Values above 415 lose part of their extra gain. Values above 490 lose even more. Very low values are also adjusted by a lower cap.

Practical Use

Use this tool before testing chase paths, roam plans, jungle routes, or escape windows. Enter a distance to estimate travel time. Compare several setups. Save the result when you need notes for build guides, coaching pages, or matchup planning.

FAQs

What does this calculator estimate?

It estimates final champion movement speed after flat bonuses, percentage bonuses, slows, slow resistance, final modifiers, and movement speed soft caps.

Can I use this for any champion?

Yes. Enter that champion base movement speed. Then add the exact boots, item, rune, ability, and slow values for your situation.

Why is my final speed lower than raw speed?

High movement speed is affected by soft caps. Extra speed above important thresholds is reduced, so final speed can be lower than raw speed.

What is effective slow?

Effective slow is the real slow after slow resistance. A larger slow resistance value reduces the final impact of the slow.

Should I add all percentage bonuses together?

For this planner, enter item, rune, ability, and terrain bonuses separately. The calculator combines them before applying slows and caps.

What does travel time mean?

Travel time is the selected distance divided by final movement speed. It estimates how many seconds the route may take.

Can I export the result?

Yes. After calculating, use the CSV button for spreadsheet data or the PDF button for a simple saved report.

Does this replace in-game testing?

No. It is a planning tool. In-game effects, terrain, pathing, crowd control, and timing may still change real match movement.
