Calculator Form

Example: 1.23 for a 23% boost.
Common values: 0, 1, or 3.

Formula Used

Melee and Ranged

Effective Level = floor((Visible Level × Prayer Multiplier) + Stance Bonus + 8)

Max Hit = floor(0.5 + Effective Level × (Strength Bonus + 64) ÷ 640)

Extra selected multipliers are then applied and floored.

Magic

Magic Max Hit = floor(Base Hit × (1 + Magic Damage % ÷ 100) × Selected Multipliers)

Magic uses spell base damage, gear damage percentage, and chosen modifiers.

How to Use This Calculator

Choose melee, ranged, or magic first. Enter your visible boosted level. Add your strength, ranged strength, or magic values.

Set prayer, stance, Void, Slayer, Salve, special attack, and monster multipliers. Use 1 when a bonus does not apply.

Press the calculate button. The result will appear above the form, directly below the header area.

Use the chart to check level breakpoints. Download the CSV or PDF report for records.

Understanding OSRS Max Hit

A max hit shows the highest damage a setup can land under selected rules. In Old School RuneScape, that number changes when you adjust visible levels, prayers, gear strength, attack style, spell damage, and special multipliers. This calculator gives a structured estimate, so you can compare setups before spending coins or changing training plans.

Why Planning Helps

Small strength changes often matter more than they look. A new amulet, cape, ring, or prayer can push a build across a damage threshold. When that happens, every successful hit can become stronger. This can improve kills per hour, reduce supplies, and make tasks feel smoother. The tool is useful for bosses, Slayer tasks, raids, player combat testing, and budget gear decisions.

Melee, Ranged, and Magic

Melee and ranged estimates use effective level and offensive strength bonuses. Effective level includes visible level, prayer scaling, stance bonus, optional Void scaling, and other multipliers. Magic works differently. Most spells start with a base hit, then magic damage bonuses and extra multipliers raise that value. Because each style has different rules, the form separates combat type, bonus fields, and spell options.

Reading the Results

The main result shows estimated max hit, effective level, selected strength value, and total multiplier. The notes explain which major inputs affected the answer. The chart shows how max hit changes as the chosen level rises. This helps you see whether another level, prayer, or item upgrade may create a useful breakpoint.

Using Exports

Use CSV export when you want a spreadsheet record. Use PDF export when you want a clean report for notes, guides, or team planning. The example table gives sample builds, but your exact result depends on your current stats, equipment, boosts, and selected combat rules. Breakpoint checks are especially useful during upgrades, because one extra damage point can change long fights, saving food, prayer, and time across many trips overall.

Practical Advice

Use verified in-game testing for final decisions. Some weapons, monsters, areas, and special attacks have unique behavior. Still, this calculator gives a fast planning view. It helps you narrow choices, compare upgrades, and understand why one setup may hit harder than another.

FAQs

What is an OSRS max hit?

It is the highest damage number a setup can deal under chosen combat rules. It depends on levels, gear bonuses, prayers, stance, spell damage, and special modifiers.

Does this calculator support melee?

Yes. Choose melee, enter your visible Strength level, strength bonus, prayer multiplier, stance bonus, and any extra modifiers that apply to your setup.

Does this calculator support ranged?

Yes. Select ranged and enter your visible Ranged level, ranged strength bonus, prayer multiplier, stance bonus, and any equipment or task multipliers.

Why does my result differ from the game?

Some weapons, monsters, areas, and combat effects use unique rules. This tool gives a planning estimate and should be checked with in-game testing.

What does the graph show?

The graph shows estimated max hit at rising levels using your selected bonuses. It helps reveal useful damage breakpoints.

Can I export my result?

Yes. Use the CSV button for spreadsheet data. Use the PDF button for a simple report you can save or share.
