Formula Used

This calculator estimates current lean mass first: Lean Mass = Body Weight × (1 − Body Fat ÷ 100).

It then compares two advanced estimates. The first uses height, wrist size, ankle size, sex, and a frame adjustment. The second uses an FFMI ceiling. The safer value is selected as the estimated maximum lean mass.

Target body weight is calculated as: Target Weight = Estimated Max Lean Mass ÷ (1 − Target Body Fat ÷ 100).

Remaining potential is: Estimated Max Lean Mass − Current Lean Mass. The time estimate divides that remaining gain by your expected monthly lean gain rate.
