Formula Used
Ratio Method
Total parts = concentrate parts + diluent parts. Concentrate amount = final volume × concentrate parts ÷ total parts. Diluent amount = final volume − concentrate amount.
Percent Method
Concentrate amount = final volume × target percent ÷ 100. Diluent amount = final volume − concentrate amount.
Stock Dilution Method
C1 × V1 = C2 × V2. Stock volume = final strength × final volume ÷ stock strength. Diluent amount = final volume − stock volume.
Loss and Overage Adjustment
Adjusted volume = target volume × (1 + overage percent ÷ 100) ÷ (1 − loss percent ÷ 100).
How to Use This Calculator
