How TDS Fits The Result
TDS means total dissolved solids. Many meters do not measure it directly. They measure electrical conductivity first. Then they multiply conductivity by a conversion factor. Common factors range from 0.50 to 0.70. The right factor depends on the water chemistry. Pool, spa, and process water can differ. The calculator lets you choose the factor.
