Formula Used

Adjusted Chance = Base Chance + Rarity Adjustment + Level Bonus + Element Bonus + Boost Bonus - Risk Penalty.

Expected Attempts = 1 / Adjusted Chance. The chance must be written as a decimal.

Confidence Attempts = log(1 - Desired Confidence) / log(1 - Adjusted Chance).

Expected Total Time = Expected Attempts × (Breeding Hours + Hatch Hours).

Expected Resource Cost = Expected Attempts × Cost per Attempt.

How to Use This Calculator

  1. Enter both parent monster names.
  2. Select each parent rarity and the target rarity.
  3. Add parent levels and elements separated by commas.
  4. Enter the base success chance for your planned target.
  5. Add breeding time, hatch time, costs, and active boosts.
  6. Press the calculate button to view the result above the form.
  7. Download the result as CSV or PDF when needed.

Monster Legends Breeding Planning Guide

Breeding in Monster Legends feels simple at first. You choose two parents, wait, and hope for a useful egg. A planner makes that choice easier. This calculator compares parent rarity, element overlap, breeding time, hatch time, event boosts, and failure risk. It gives a practical estimate before you spend gold, gems, food, or valuable habitat space.

Why breeding estimates matter

Many pairings can produce more than one result. Some outcomes are common. Others need repeated attempts. A clear estimate helps you decide whether a pairing is worth the time. It also helps when an event boost changes expected odds. You can test several parent pairs and compare expected attempts, total waiting time, expected cost, and possible gem skipping cost.

How the tool evaluates a pair

The calculator starts with your base success chance. It adjusts that chance with rarity balance, shared elements, parent levels, temple or event boosts, and the selected target tier. It then estimates attempts from probability. A lower chance means more expected attempts. The calculator also adds breeding and hatch hours, then multiplies those hours by expected attempts.

Using results wisely

Results are planning estimates, not official guarantees. The game can use hidden tables, limited events, or special rules. Use the output as a guide for comparing options. If a legendary or mythic target has a low chance, plan extra time. If a boosted event is active, enter the bonus percent and compare the new plan against normal breeding.

Advanced planning tips

Use parent notes to record names, elements, and known possible eggs. Save a CSV file when you want to compare many trials in a spreadsheet. Download the PDF when you need a quick report for a clan guide, content post, or personal checklist. Repeat the calculation whenever parent levels, boosts, or event rules change.

Best use case

This calculator works best for planning breeding sessions. It shows which pair is faster, cheaper, or more efficient. It can also show when gem skipping is too expensive. Use it before long sessions, limited breeding events, or resource-heavy attempts.

FAQs

What does this calculator estimate?

It estimates breeding chance, expected attempts, total waiting time, resource cost, and possible gem skipping cost for a selected parent pair.

Are the results official game odds?

No. The results are planning estimates. Always check current event rules, special breeding tables, and official game notices before spending resources.

What should I enter as base chance?

Enter the success chance you want to test. Use known event data, your own tracking, or a conservative estimate when exact odds are unknown.

How does rarity affect the result?

The tool compares parent rarity against target rarity. Higher parent rarity can improve the estimate, while harder target rarity can reduce it.

Why add parent elements?

Shared elements can help model compatibility. Enter elements separated by commas, such as fire, nature, magic, thunder, water, or dark.

What is confidence attempts?

It estimates how many attempts may be needed to reach your selected confidence level, based on the adjusted success chance.

Can I export the result?

Yes. Use the CSV button for spreadsheet work. Use the PDF button for a quick report or saved breeding plan.

Why is my expected time high?

A low adjusted chance increases expected attempts. Long breeding and hatch timers also raise the total expected waiting time.
