Formula Used

Finished waist: body waist + wearing ease.

Waist radius: finished waist ÷ (2 × π × circle factor).

Cutting inner radius: waist radius − waist seam allowance.

Outer radius: waist radius + finished skirt length + hem allowance.

Skirt area: π × (outer radius² − inner radius²) × circle factor.

Planned area: skirt area + seams + pockets + waistband + lining, then add shrinkage, waste, and nap allowance.
