Formula Used
Required XP To Target = ((Target Level - Current Level) × XP Per Level) - Current XP In Level
Projected Earned XP = Play Days × (Daily Quest XP + Daily Win XP) + Weekly Resets × Weekly Win XP + Bonus XP
Total Projected XP = Projected Earned XP + Purchased Levels × XP Per Level
Projected Final Level = Current Level + floor((Current XP + Total Projected XP) ÷ XP Per Level)
Pass Value = Pack Value + Gold Gem Value + Gem Rewards + Draft Token Value + Mythic Value + Cosmetic Value
Net Value = Total Pass Value - Pass Cost
ROI = (Total Pass Value ÷ Pass Cost) × 100
How To Use This Calculator
Enter your current mastery level and current XP inside that level. Add the level you want to reach before the season ends. Enter remaining calendar days and the number of days you expect to play.
Next, enter your expected daily quest XP, daily win XP, weekly win XP, and bonus event XP. Use purchased levels only when you plan to buy levels with gems. Then enter reward values. You can value packs, gold, gems, draft tokens, mythic cards, and cosmetics based on your own account goals.
Press the calculate button. The result appears above the form and below the header. Use the CSV button for spreadsheet records. Use the PDF button for a quick report.
Mastery Pass Planning Guide
Why XP Pace Matters
The MTG Arena Mastery Pass rewards steady play. A player may feel safe at first. Then the season can end faster than expected. This calculator turns that risk into clear numbers. It compares your current level with your target level. It also checks the XP you can still earn.
Reading The Progress Result
The projected final level is the main progress number. It shows where your account may finish if your inputs stay true. The shortfall value shows missing XP. The surplus value shows extra XP beyond the target. These numbers help you decide whether your plan is relaxed or risky.
Using Reward Value
The pass is not only about levels. It is also about value. Packs, gems, gold, tokens, cards, and cosmetics can all matter. Each player values them differently. Draft players may value draft tokens highly. Collection builders may value packs more. Cosmetic collectors may include sleeve and avatar value.
Building A Better Season Plan
Use conservative inputs when planning. Missed days are common. Quests can be delayed. Weekly wins may not always be finished. A safe plan should include a small XP buffer. If the calculator shows a shortfall, add more play days first. Then consider weekly wins, events, or a lower target level.
Checking Pass Profit
The net gem value compares rewards with the pass cost. A positive number means your entered reward values exceed the cost. A negative number means the pass may still be fun, but less efficient by your values. The break even level is only an estimate because real reward tracks are uneven.
Best Use Case
This tool is best used before buying the pass. It is also useful near the end of a season. Enter realistic XP values. Review the result. Then choose whether the pass matches your play schedule.
FAQs
1. What does this calculator estimate?
It estimates your final mastery level, XP shortfall, daily XP pace, reward value, net gem value, and rough break even level.
2. Is the break even level exact?
No. It is an estimate. Actual reward tracks are not always linear. Use it as a planning guide, not a fixed official value.
3. What should I enter for XP per level?
Use the XP required for one mastery level in the current season. The default is editable, so you can update it anytime.
4. Should cosmetics have gem value?
Only include cosmetic value if those items matter to you. Competitive players may enter zero. Collectors may enter a higher value.
5. What if I miss some play days?
Enter fewer expected play days. This gives a safer projection and shows how much XP you must earn on active days.
6. Can I include event XP?
Yes. Add event, bonus, promotional, or special reward XP into the bonus XP field for a fuller projection.
7. Why is my net value negative?
Your entered rewards may be worth less than the pass cost. Change reward values only if your personal valuation is different.
8. Can I download my result?
Yes. After calculation, use the CSV button for spreadsheet data or the PDF button for a printable report.
