Why This Calculator Matters
A coil is an electrical load. Your battery supplies voltage. The coil resistance controls current. Current then creates heat. That heat turns liquid into vapor. A small change in resistance can make a large change in current. This is why careful checking matters before firing any device.
Understanding the Core Values
Voltage is electrical pressure. Current is the flow of charge. Resistance limits that flow. Power describes heat output in watts. Ohm law connects these values. Power law adds the heat relationship. When you know any two values, the other two can be calculated. The calculator uses this idea for each entered setup.
Battery Limit Awareness
A vape build should never rely on guesses. Enter the continuous discharge rating from the battery wrap or trusted datasheet. Add a safety margin. The tool reduces the usable amp limit by that margin. It then compares your estimated battery current with the adjusted limit. This gives a practical warning for planning. It is not a guarantee of safety. Cell age, heat, wraps, contacts, and device condition still matter.
Mechanical And Regulated Setups
A direct battery device follows the battery voltage closely. A fresh cell often starts near 4.2 volts. A regulated device changes voltage to meet a wattage target. It also has efficiency loss. The calculator includes an efficiency field for this reason. Lower efficiency means higher battery current. Multiple cells can increase voltage or share load. How To Use Results
Start with the resistance and voltage you expect. Review amps first. Then review watts. If amps are near the adjusted battery limit, choose a higher resistance or lower wattage. Keep extra headroom. Do not use damaged batteries. Do not exceed the maker rating. Check the coil on a reliable meter before use. Recheck after installing it. Stop if the device becomes hot, misfires, or behaves strangely. Good calculations support safer choices, but they do not replace experience, inspection, or proper battery handling.
