Advanced XP Calculator

Formula Used

The level requirement uses the Old School RuneScape experience curve. For a chosen level, the calculator totals each lower level step. Each step uses floor(level + 300 × 2^(level / 7)). The final level requirement is floor(total points / 4).

The remaining experience is target XP − current XP. Effective XP per action is base XP × (1 + bonus percent / 100). Actions needed are planned XP ÷ effective XP per action. Active hours are actions needed ÷ actions per hour. Calendar days use your daily training time and fixed daily XP.

How To Use This Calculator

Choose your skill first. Enter your current level and exact current XP. If exact XP is lower than the level minimum, the calculator uses the minimum XP for that level. Then enter your target level. You may also enter a custom target XP for virtual level planning or post-99 goals.

Add XP per action and your expected actions per hour. Use the bonus field for boosts, lamps, outfit effects, or other modifiers. Add training hours per day to estimate a finish date. Use the CSV or PDF buttons when you need a portable report.

Example Data Table

Magic 1,210,421 94 175 900 42.76 active hours

Old School RuneScape XP Planning Guide

Why XP Planning Matters

Old School RuneScape rewards steady planning. A small method change can save hours. This calculator shows the gap before you grind. It converts levels, exact XP, rates, boosts, and time. You see actions, hours, days, and finish dates. That makes each session easier to control.

Set Strong Skill Goals

Clear targets keep training focused. Some players want quest levels. Some want diaries, bosses, capes, or total level gains. Others chase level 99, virtual levels, or the 200 million XP cap. Exact XP helps because visible levels can hide large gaps. Level 92 is famous because it is near halfway to level 99. The calculator accepts exact XP, target levels, and custom XP goals. This supports normal play and long term completion planning.

Compare Training Methods

Every method has a different rhythm. Bank trips, tick timing, teleports, supplies, gear, and attention all change results. Enter your own XP per action. Then enter actions per hour from your real method. Use the bonus field for outfits, boosts, lamps, or temporary effects. The result shows effective XP per action and hourly XP. You can test several methods and choose the best one.

Plan Around Daily Time

Active hours show the direct grind. Calendar days show how the goal fits your schedule. Add expected training hours per day. Add fixed daily XP for repeatable rewards or planned lamps. Use a safety buffer when your rate is uncertain. This protects your estimate from missed clicks, slow banking, distractions, and learning time.

Review The Example Table

The example table gives quick scenarios. Use it as a simple benchmark. Replace those values with your own methods. Then compare the returned hours. This helps you spot slow methods before using them.

Use Exports For Tracking

CSV export works well in spreadsheets. PDF export gives a clean report for saving or sharing. Keep a copy before a long grind. Recalculate after upgrades or better routes. Small rate improvements matter more at higher levels. A careful plan can make a massive grind feel organized, measurable, and realistic. It also makes your final target easier to explain to clan friends later.
