About This OSRS Combat Level Calculator

An OSRS combat build needs careful planning. A single level can move an account into a new bracket. This calculator helps you test that change before training. It reads Attack, Strength, Defence, Hitpoints, Ranged, Magic, and Prayer. It then shows the exact internal value and the visible combat level.

Why Combat Level Matters

Combat level affects many account goals. PvP players use it to protect a bracket. Pures try to keep Defence low. Range tanks watch Defence and Ranged together. Main accounts use it to track long term progress. The calculator separates each style, so you can see what drives the final number.

Planning Better Builds

The dominant style is important. Melee uses Attack and Strength. Ranged uses Ranged with a multiplier. Magic uses Magic with a multiplier. The game adds only the highest style value to the base value. This means one style can be trained far ahead of another without always raising combat. The impact table makes that easier to review.

Using The Export Options

CSV export is useful for spreadsheets. You can store several build tests and compare them later. The PDF export is better for quick sharing. It includes inputs, formula parts, final level, and target details. Both exports use the same submitted values, so the records stay consistent.

Accuracy And Good Practice

The calculator uses flooring at key points. Prayer is halved and floored first. Ranged and Magic are multiplied by 1.5 and floored before style weighting. The final combat value is also floored. This matches the normal planning method used by OSRS players.

Always review your account goals before training. Skill levels cannot be lowered after gaining them. Test likely upgrades first. Check the distance to the next level. Review which single level increase is safe. Then train with more confidence and fewer surprises.

Who Should Use It

Use this tool when building a pure, zerker, range tank, mage account, or balanced main. It is also helpful after quests, lamps, and planned Prayer upgrades. Enter the future levels before you commit. The result will show whether the upgrade changes your bracket or keeps the account where you want it.

This keeps planning simple, clear, and repeatable daily.

FAQs

What does this OSRS calculator show?

It shows your visible combat level, exact internal value, dominant combat style, formula parts, target status, and one-level impact for every combat skill.

Why is the exact value different from the combat level?

The exact value includes decimals. The visible combat level is the floored whole number shown after the formula is completed.

Which skills affect the base value?

Defence, Hitpoints, and half of Prayer affect the base value. Prayer is divided by two and floored before it is added.

How is the dominant combat style chosen?

The calculator compares Melee, Ranged, and Magic style values. The highest one becomes the dominant style used in the final result.

Can one extra level raise combat?

Yes. The impact table tests one added level for each skill. It shows whether that level changes your visible combat level.

What is the maximum OSRS combat level?

The maximum visible combat level is 126. This is usually reached with very high combat stats across the main combat skills.

Why does Prayer not always raise combat?

Prayer is halved and floored. Because of that flooring, some odd Prayer increases may not change the formula immediately.

Can I export my result?

Yes. Use the CSV button for spreadsheet records. Use the PDF button for a simple printable summary of the build.
