Meal Nutrition Form

Formula Used

Base meal nutrition is added to selected side nutrition. The combined value is multiplied by serving count and portion percent. Sauce adjustment is applied to calories, carbohydrates, fat, saturated fat, sugar, and sodium.

Total nutrient per person = ((menu nutrient + side nutrient) × servings × portion factor × sauce factor) ÷ split count

Daily value percent = total nutrient ÷ daily value reference × 100

Smart Meal Planning With P.F. Chang's Nutrition Estimates

Why Nutrition Estimates Matter

Restaurant meals can fit many eating goals when portions are planned before ordering. This calculator helps you review calories, protein, carbohydrates, fat, sodium, fiber, sugar, and cholesterol in one place. It is useful for family meals, shared plates, lunch planning, and quick comparisons between popular choices.

Build a Realistic Plate

Many meals include sauces, rice, appetizers, or sides. A single menu item may not represent the full plate. This tool lets you add sides and change portion size. You can also split one order between several people. That makes the final number more practical for real dining situations.

Use Portions Carefully

Portion percent is one of the most important fields. Enter 100 when you eat the full serving. Enter 50 when you eat half. Enter 75 when you save a quarter for later. This makes the estimate more useful than a fixed menu value.

Watch Sodium and Sauce

Asian inspired restaurant dishes may contain rich sauces. Sauces can raise sodium, sugar, carbohydrates, and calories. The extra sauce field gives a simple adjustment for heavier sauce use. It does not replace official data, yet it gives a practical planning estimate.

Compare Daily Values

Daily value percentages show how one meal compares with common nutrition references. A sodium result near 100 percent means the meal may cover most of a full day. A protein result above 50 percent may support a higher protein meal plan.

Custom Entries Add Flexibility

Menus change. Nutrition guides also change. The custom entry option lets you paste values from any updated source. You can use it for seasonal dishes, modified meals, beverages, desserts, or takeout combinations not listed in the sample menu.

Best Use

Use this calculator before ordering, after checking a menu, or while planning a shared dinner. Treat results as estimates. For allergies, medical diets, or strict nutrition targets, check current restaurant information and ask staff for details.

FAQs

Is this calculator official?

No. It is an editable planning tool. Use current restaurant nutrition information when exact values are required.

Can I enter my own nutrition values?

Yes. Select the custom nutrition entry option. Then add calories, macros, sodium, cholesterol, sugar, and fiber values manually.

How does the split option work?

The calculator divides the adjusted meal total by the number of people entered. This helps estimate one person's share.

What does extra sauce percent mean?

It increases calories, carbohydrates, fat, saturated fat, sugar, and sodium. Use it when ordering extra sauce or heavier sauce.

Why are daily values included?

Daily values show how much one meal contributes to common daily reference targets. They make high sodium or fat easier to notice.

Can I calculate half a meal?

Yes. Enter 50 in the portion percent field. The calculator will estimate half of the selected meal and side.

Does the side count as one full side?

Yes. The selected side is added to the chosen meal before portion, serving, sauce, and split adjustments are applied.
