Advanced Pidgey Planner
Example Data Table
| Pidgey | Candy | Cost | Lucky Egg | Likely Use |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 25 | 100 | 12 | 2x | Small XP push |
| 60 | 180 | 12 | 2x | Standard evolve session |
| 120 | 420 | 12 | 2x | Large transfer plan |
Formula Used
Candy after evolutions = Starting candy + transfer candy - candy spent + candy returned.
Candy spent = Number of evolutions × evolution cost.
Candy returned = Number of evolutions × candy returned per evolution.
Adjusted XP = Total evolutions × base XP × Lucky Egg multiplier.
Time used = Total evolutions × seconds per evolution.
The calculator uses a greedy sequence. It evolves when enough candy exists. It transfers spare Pokémon only when candy is short and transfers are enabled.

Pidgey Planning Guide
Why Pidgey Still Matters
Pidgey is a useful planning Pokémon because its first evolution has a low candy cost. Many trainers use low cost evolutions to organize XP sessions. This calculator helps you decide how many evolutions fit your stock. It also shows how transfers can change the final candy balance.
Plan Before Using an Egg
A timed XP item works best when you know your limits. Enter your session length and average evolution speed. The tool compares your planned evolutions with the available time. This helps you avoid wasting boosted minutes. It also shows XP per minute, which is useful for comparing plans.
Understand Candy Flow
Candy is the main limit for this calculator. Evolutions spend candy. Transfers add candy. Returned candy reduces the net cost. These small changes matter during large sessions. A player with many spare Pidgey may gain extra evolutions by transferring extras first. A player with few Pidgey may need to save stock instead.
Use Keep Values Carefully
The keep fields protect Pokémon from being used. Set them when you want to save strong, shiny, shadow, or special Pidgey. The simulator will not evolve or transfer protected counts. This keeps the plan practical. It also prevents accidental overuse when preparing a large batch.
Final Evolution Planning
Some trainers only want XP. Others want Pidgeot counts too. Enable final evolution planning when Pidgeotto to Pidgeot matters. The second stage uses a separate cost field. This makes the page useful for normal XP plans and collection goals.
Export Results
CSV export is helpful for spreadsheets. PDF export is useful for saving a quick session report. Both exports use the same form values. Recalculate after changing any field. Then save the version that matches your current game inventory.
FAQs
What does this Pidgey calculator estimate?
It estimates evolutions, transfers, ending candy, XP, Lucky Egg XP, time used, and remaining Pokémon based on your entered values.
Can I change the evolution cost?
Yes. The default cost is editable. Change it when you want to test custom assumptions, events, or future balance changes.
Does it include Pidgeotto to Pidgeot?
Yes. Enable the final evolution option. The tool then adds new Pidgeotto from Pidgey evolutions and plans possible Pidgeot evolutions.
Why is there a transfer option?
Transfers can provide extra candy. That extra candy may unlock more evolutions when you have spare Pokémon and limited candy.
What does candy returned per evolution mean?
It represents candy gained back after completing an evolution. Keep it editable because players may prefer different planning assumptions.
How does the Lucky Egg field work?
The multiplier is applied to base evolution XP. A value of 2 doubles the calculated XP total for a boosted session.
Can I save the result?
Yes. Use the CSV button for spreadsheet data. Use the PDF button for a simple printable report.
Why are results shown above the form?
The layout makes the answer visible immediately after submission. You can then adjust inputs below without leaving the page.
