Formula Used

Purified IV: min(Shadow IV + 2, 15) for Attack, Defense, and Stamina.

IV Percent: ((Attack + Defense + Stamina) / 45) × 100.

Total Cost: Cost per Pokemon × Quantity.

Estimated CP: floor((Attack × sqrt(Defense) × sqrt(Stamina) × CPM²) / 10).

Hundo Rule: A Shadow Pokemon with 13 or higher in all three IVs can become 15 / 15 / 15 after purification.

Discount Estimate: Planned future spend × 10%. This estimates possible savings after purification.

Purifying Shadow Pokemon: Practical Guide

Why Purification Matters

Purification changes a Shadow Pokemon in several useful ways. It raises each appraisal stat by two points. The increase stops at fifteen. This can turn a near-perfect Shadow into a perfect purified Pokemon. The calculator checks that case instantly. It also shows how many appraisal points you gain.

Cost Control

Stardust is one of the slowest resources to rebuild. Candy can also be limited for rare species. That makes cost planning important. A cheap Shadow can be useful for medal progress. A Legendary Shadow costs much more. This page compares total cost, remaining resources, and batch quantity.

Battle Value

Purifying is not always the best battle choice. Shadow Pokemon can hit harder. That extra pressure can matter in raids. A purified Pokemon may still be useful for collections, lower future costs, or Return. The recommendation box weighs these tradeoffs. It does not replace team testing, but it gives a clear first check.

Perfect IV Planning

The most common purify target is a hundo. Any Shadow with at least thirteen Attack, thirteen Defense, and thirteen Stamina can reach perfect IVs. Lower stats cannot reach fifteen after only two points. The calculator marks perfect results clearly. It also labels strong non-perfect outcomes.

CP and Level Estimates

CP needs base stats, IVs, level, and the CP multiplier. Entering base stats gives a better estimate. If you leave them blank, the IV and cost sections still work. Use the purified level field to match your expected result. Level twenty-five is a common planning value.

Best Use

Use this calculator before pressing Purify. Compare the cost with the benefit. Save rare Shadows when attack value matters. Purify low-cost Pokemon when you need medal progress. Purify premium Pokemon only when the collection value is worth the resource loss.

FAQs

1. What does this purify calculator do?

It estimates purified IVs, appraisal percentage, hundo status, resource cost, remaining resources, CP, HP, and a practical recommendation.

2. How much do IVs increase after purification?

Each IV increases by two points. The value cannot go above fifteen. A 14 Attack becomes 15, not 16.

3. Can a Shadow Pokemon become perfect?

Yes. It can become perfect if Attack, Defense, and Stamina are each at least thirteen before purification.

4. Why does the calculator ask for base stats?

Base stats are needed for CP and HP estimates. IV calculations and purification costs still work without exact base stats.

5. Should I purify every Shadow Pokemon?

No. Some Shadow Pokemon are more useful in battle before purification. Use the result as a planning guide.

6. What is the cheapest purification tier?

The cheapest common tier is usually 1,000 Stardust and 1 Candy. It is useful for medal progress.

7. Why include a batch quantity field?

Batch quantity helps estimate total cost when purifying many Pokemon for medals, events, or storage cleanup.

8. Are exported files generated on the server?

No. CSV and PDF exports are generated in the browser from the visible result table.
