Formula Used

Effective Attack = (Base Attack + Attack IV) × CPM.

Effective Defense = (Base Defense + Defense IV) × CPM.

HP = floor((Base Stamina + Stamina IV) × CPM). The minimum HP is 10.

CP = floor(Attack × √Defense × √Stamina × CPM² ÷ 10). The minimum CP is 10.

Stat Product = Effective Attack × Effective Defense × HP.

The calculator checks every IV spread from 0/0/0 to 15/15/15. It finds the highest stat product that stays under your selected cap.

About This PvP IV Calculator

This PvP IV calculator helps trainers compare one Pokémon spread against every possible IV spread for the chosen league. It is built for Great League, Ultra League, Master League, and custom caps. The tool does not guess a species. You enter the base attack, base defense, and base stamina. This keeps the page useful when game data changes or when you test special forms.

Why PvP IVs Work Differently

PvP leagues often reward bulk. Attack raises CP faster than defense or stamina. A lower attack IV can let a Pokémon reach a higher level before touching the cap. That higher level may create stronger defense, more HP, and a better stat product. This is why a perfect raid IV spread is not always the best capped league spread.

What The Results Mean

The entered level result shows the CP and HP for your current Pokémon. The best eligible level shows where that same IV spread reaches its highest stat product without passing the selected cap. The rank compares your IV spread with all 4,096 possible attack, defense, and stamina combinations. Rank one means the highest stat product for the chosen settings.

Smart Ways To Use It

Start by selecting a league. Enter accurate base stats from a current Pokémon database. Then enter the IVs shown by in-game appraisal. Choose a realistic level limit. Level 50 is common for XL checks. Level 51 can model Best Buddy boosts. Review the rank, percentile, best level, and CP. A strong rank is helpful, but moves, typing, breakpoints, energy timing, and team role still matter.

Export And Review

Use CSV when you need spreadsheet records. Use PDF when you want a simple report for later comparison. Test more than one Pokémon before investing Stardust or Candy. A slightly lower rank can still be better if it saves resources, reaches a key matchup, or fits your available team.

Keep notes for each build. Compare mirror matches carefully. Some Pokémon need extra attack to win charge move priority. Others need bulk to survive a fast move breakpoint. The calculator gives a strong numeric view. Battle testing should confirm the final choice. Use results as guidance, not as absolute team law.

FAQs

What is a PvP IV rank?

It is the position of one IV spread compared with all 4,096 spreads. The comparison uses best eligible stat product under the selected league cap.

Why can low attack be better?

Attack affects CP strongly. Lower attack can allow more levels under a cap. More levels can increase defense, HP, and total stat product.

Does rank guarantee wins?

No. Rank is only a stat product guide. Moves, typing, shields, breakpoints, energy, and team role can change real battle value.

What base stats should I enter?

Enter the current Pokémon GO base attack, defense, and stamina for the exact species or form you want to check.

What does maximum level checked mean?

It limits power-up levels used for ranking. Use 40 for older builds, 50 for XL builds, and 51 for Best Buddy checks.

Can I use a custom league cap?

Yes. Select custom cap and enter any CP limit. This helps with cups, drafts, testing, and local tournament formats.

Why does Master League show no cap?

Master League does not use a capped CP limit. The calculator uses the chosen maximum level to compare each spread.

What is stat product?

Stat product multiplies effective attack, effective defense, and HP. Higher values usually mean better bulk and overall capped league efficiency.
