Calculator Form

Use 0 to calculate from weapon tier.
Each stack adds 0.1 hit chance point.
Example: 1.125 for a 12.5 percent boost.
Example: 1.15 for a 15 percent boost.

Example Data Table

Scenario Level Weapon Tier Affinity Target Armour Target Defence Notes
General boss test 99 90 55 2500 99 Balanced trial values.
Weakness style test 99 92 90 2200 90 Useful when target weakness is matched.
Low affinity test 99 85 40 3000 110 Shows why accuracy support can matter.

Formula Used

The calculator uses a staged RS3 style estimate. First, it calculates level accuracy with this expression:

Accuracy Function = level cubed / 1250 + 4 × level + 40

Weapon accuracy is either entered directly or estimated from weapon tier. Potion and prayer values adjust the combat level. Gear penalties reduce the accuracy pool.

Final Accuracy = Raw Accuracy × (1 + Accuracy Percent Boost / 100)

Target armour is estimated from entered armour and the target defence level. Drains lower this value.

Base Hit Chance = Final Accuracy / Final Armour × Final Affinity / 100 × 100

Multipliers apply next. Additive hit chance and reaper stacks are added after that. Final hit chance is capped from 0 to 100 percent.

How to Use This Calculator

Enter your combat style, level, weapon tier, potion, and prayer. Add direct weapon accuracy only when you know the exact value. Then enter target defence, target armour, and affinity. Add penalties, drains, and boosts if they apply. Press the calculate button. The result appears below the header and above the form.

Use CSV when you want spreadsheet data. Use PDF when you want a saved summary. Change one input at a time for clean comparisons.

Why Hit Chance Matters

Hit chance shows how often an attack should connect. It is useful for bossing, slayer, testing upgrades, and comparing combat setups. A small change can matter. Better accuracy can raise real damage, especially when your current chance is low. This calculator helps you study that change before you buy gear or change a preset.

What This Tool Estimates

The tool combines player accuracy, target armour, affinity, drains, penalties, and added hit chance. It also estimates expected hits from a chosen attack count. Average damage is included too. This gives a simple expected damage view. The result is not a complete damage simulator. It focuses on the chance to land attacks.

Inputs That Matter Most

Your combat level affects the level accuracy score. Weapon tier or a direct weapon accuracy value adds a large share. Potion and prayer selections can improve the true level used by the formula. Gear penalties can reduce accuracy when styles do not match. Target armour and defence level make the target harder to hit. Affinity reflects weakness or resistance.

Using Results Wisely

Look first at final hit chance. Then compare expected hits and expected damage. If hit chance is far below one hundred percent, accuracy upgrades may be strong. If it is already capped, added accuracy may not help much. Try one change at a time. This makes the best upgrade easier to see.

Exporting Reports

Use CSV for spreadsheets. Use PDF for a quick saved summary. Both exports keep the calculated values. They are useful when comparing bosses, styles, or gear plans across sessions.

Practical Combat Planning

A good setup balances accuracy and damage. High tier weapons, correct style, useful prayers, and target drains can all help. Some bonuses add chance directly. Others multiply accuracy first. That difference matters. Direct hit chance often feels stronger when the starting value is low. Accuracy multipliers are more consistent, but they can be wasted near the cap. Use the table examples as rough guides. Replace them with your own boss values when possible. Check your in game gear panel for exact accuracy. Enter known target data from trusted community sources. Then save results and compare options. This approach keeps planning clear, repeatable, and practical.

FAQs

What is hit chance in RS3?

Hit chance is the estimated chance that an attack will connect with a target. It depends on your accuracy, the target’s armour, affinity, drains, penalties, and direct chance bonuses.

What does affinity mean?

Affinity represents how favorable your combat style is against the target. Higher affinity usually means your attacks connect more often. Matching a target weakness usually gives better results.

Should I use weapon tier or direct accuracy?

Use weapon tier for a quick estimate. Use direct weapon accuracy when you know the exact value from your gear screen or a trusted target calculator.

Why is my final hit chance capped?

The calculator caps final hit chance at 100 percent. Extra accuracy may not improve hit chance once you reach the cap, though other damage bonuses may still matter.

What is equipment penalty?

Equipment penalty represents accuracy lost from mismatched gear or other penalties. Enter the penalty value if you know it. Leave it at zero when no penalty applies.

How do reaper stacks work here?

This calculator treats each reaper stack as 0.1 added hit chance point, up to 30 stacks. Adjust the separate added hit chance field for other direct bonuses.

Is this a full damage simulator?

No. It estimates hit chance and expected damage from average damage. It does not simulate ability rotations, critical hits, damage caps, boss mechanics, or timed buffs.

Why export CSV or PDF?

CSV is useful for spreadsheets and comparisons. PDF is useful for saving a quick report. Both include the main calculated values from the submitted form.
