Formula Used

The calculator uses the standard RuneScape experience curve for level targets:

XP(level) = floor(sum(floor(n + 300 × 2^(n / 7))) / 4)

The sum runs from n = 1 to target level - 1. This gives the experience needed for each level.

Remaining experience is calculated as:

Remaining XP = max(0, Target XP - Current XP - Lamp or Reward XP)

Boosted action value is calculated as:

Effective XP Per Action = Base XP Per Action × (1 + Total Boost % / 100)

Actions, hours, days, sessions, and cost are calculated as:

Actions = ceil(Remaining XP / Effective XP Per Action)
Hours = Remaining XP / (Effective XP Per Action × Actions Per Hour)
Days = ceil(Hours / Daily Hours)
Sessions = ceil(Hours / Session Hours)
Total Cost = Actions × GP Cost Per Action

How to Use This Calculator

1. Select the RuneScape 3 skill you want to train.
2. Enter your current level. Add exact current XP for better accuracy.
3. Select target level mode or custom target XP mode.
4. Enter XP per action and expected actions per hour.
5. Add bonus XP, outfit boosts, event boosts, and reward XP.
6. Add GP cost per action if the method uses supplies.
7. Enter your daily hours and normal session length.

Plan the Goal First

A RuneScape 3 skill plan feels easier when the numbers are visible. Each skill goal has three moving parts. You need current experience, target experience, and a realistic training rate. This calculator joins those parts in one clean report. It can estimate remaining experience, total actions, training hours, sessions, daily progress, and possible cost.

Use Exact XP When Possible

The tool is useful for normal goals and long virtual grinds. You can select a skill, enter your current level, or provide exact current experience. Exact experience gives the most accurate result. Level input is still helpful when you only want a quick plan. Target level mode uses the classic RuneScape experience curve. Custom target experience mode helps when you want a partial level, 120 goal, or a 200 million experience target.

Add Boosts and Rewards

Training speed changes often. Portable stations, outfits, clan bonuses, events, pulse cores, bonus experience, and lamps can all change the final plan. The calculator lets you enter separate boost percentages. It also lets you subtract lamp or reward experience before actions are estimated. This makes the result more flexible than a simple level table.

Compare Time and Cost

Cost planning matters too. Some methods are cheap, while others trade coins for speed. Enter a coin cost per action when supplies are consumed. The calculator then estimates total coins needed for the remaining actions. You can compare a fast expensive method with a slower budget method by running the form twice and exporting both reports.

Keep the Plan Practical

The best plan is still practical. Use an honest actions per hour value. Lower the rate if the method needs banking, movement, buying supplies, or attention breaks. Set daily hours and session hours to match your routine. The result will show how many days and sessions the grind may need.

Save and Update Often

Use the CSV export for spreadsheets. Use the PDF export for a shareable summary. Keep the example table nearby when testing methods. After each level milestone, update your current experience and run the calculator again. Small updates keep the plan accurate and help you avoid overbuying supplies. A clear target also makes long training sessions feel more manageable. Review your method often, because market prices and personal focus can change training value each week.
