Silph Road IV Calculator

Analyze CP, HP, dust, appraisal, and level windows. Find attack, defense, stamina, and perfection values. Use quick exports and charts for cleaner IV decisions.

Advanced IV Calculator

Used only when dust filtering is enabled.

Formula Used

Effective Attack = Base Attack + Attack IV

Effective Defense = Base Defense + Defense IV

Effective Stamina = Base Stamina + Stamina IV

CP = floor((Attack × √Defense × √Stamina × CPM²) ÷ 10). Minimum CP is 10.

HP = floor(Effective Stamina × CPM)

IV Percent = ((Attack IV + Defense IV + Stamina IV) ÷ 45) × 100

The calculator tests every IV spread and half-level in your chosen range. It keeps only rows matching visible CP, HP, and appraisal filters.

Why IV Checking Matters

An IV checker helps players understand hidden strength. CP alone does not show the full story. HP, base stats, level, and appraisal clues all matter. Two monsters can show the same CP yet have very different attack, defense, and stamina values. This calculator searches every legal IV set from zero to fifteen. It then compares each set with your visible CP and HP. The result is a ranked list of possible matches.

Better Decisions

The tool is useful before powering up, trading, evolving, or transferring. A high attack value can help raids and gym battles. Better defense and stamina can improve staying power. A balanced spread may be useful for collectors. The IV percent gives a simple score. It is not the only value to consider. Move sets, league limits, and real battle roles still matter. Use the output as a guide, not as a final rule.

How Estimates Work

The calculation starts with base attack, defense, and stamina. You can enter those values from any trusted stat table. Next, the form reads the observed CP, HP, level range, and optional stardust cost. The script tests every half level in the selected range. It applies the combat power formula and the health formula. Only matching rows remain. Appraisal filters can narrow the list even more.

Practical Tips

For best results, enter exact CP and HP after healing the monster. Add the stardust cost when you know it. Use the attack, defense, and stamina sliders from the appraisal screen. If the level is uncertain, leave a wider range. A wider range may show more candidates. A narrow range gives cleaner answers. Export the table when you want to compare many catches. The chart helps you see whether the best result is unique or part of a broad cluster.

Privacy and Speed

The page works in one file. It does not need an account. The calculation runs on submission. The chart and downloads are created in the browser. You can save a CSV for spreadsheets. You can save a PDF for notes. This makes batch checking easier during events, trades, raids, and community sessions without extra manual copying.

FAQs

What is an IV?

IV means individual value. It is a hidden bonus added to base attack, defense, and stamina. Each value can range from zero to fifteen.

Why are multiple matches shown?

CP and HP are rounded values. Different IV spreads and levels can produce the same visible numbers. Appraisal filters reduce those possibilities.

Why must I enter base stats?

The formula needs base attack, defense, and stamina. This page stays flexible by letting you enter the stats for any supported creature.

How does stardust cost help?

Stardust cost can estimate the possible level window. Enabling the dust filter narrows the search and can remove many impossible rows.

Is the highest IV always best?

No. A high IV is useful, but moves, battle league caps, breakpoints, and team role can matter more in some situations.

What should I do if no result appears?

Check CP, HP, base stats, and level range. You can also increase tolerance or disable the stardust filter temporarily.

Can I save the results?

Yes. Use the CSV button for spreadsheet work. Use the PDF button when you need a compact report for records.

Does this replace official appraisal?

No. Treat it as a helper. The appraisal screen provides important ranges, while this page combines them with formulas.
