Formula Used

Burning Crusade Anniversary Profile

p = (((1651.94 - 475) / (1 + 2500000 × e^(-0.009 × rating))) + 475) × 1.5

Bracket rewards use p × 0.76 for 2v2, p × 0.88 for 3v3, and p × 1.00 for 5v5.

Classic Adjusted Profile

If rating is at least 1000: p = 1150 / (1 + 1639.28 × e^(-0.00412 × rating)) + 356

If rating is below 1000: p = 0.10 × rating + 294

Original TBC Curve

If rating is at least 1500: p = 1511.26 / (1 + 1639.28 × e^(-0.00412 × rating))

If rating is below 1500: p = 0.22 × rating + 14

Arena Planning Guide

Why Weekly Planning Matters

Arena points feel simple, but small bracket choices change a season plan. A player may hold strong rating in two versus two, yet earn more from a lower five versus five team. The calculator helps compare those paths before reset. It also shows when a bracket is not eligible, so a missing match count does not hide in the math.

Better Inputs Create Better Forecasts

Good planning starts with honest inputs. Add the rating, played games, wins, and personal share for each bracket. The tool reads those values together. It checks the minimum games rule and your chosen activity threshold. Then it applies the bracket multiplier. This gives a practical weekly estimate instead of a single loose number.

Plan Gear Purchases

The best bracket result is useful for buying gear. Enter current points and a target item cost. The page estimates weeks needed and the point total after the next reset. You can also set an optional cap, which keeps projections realistic for servers or private rules that limit stored points.

Compare Formula Profiles

Advanced players can test several formula profiles. This matters because Burning Crusade systems changed across versions and seasons. The anniversary curve gives high catch up value. The original curve is stricter below higher ratings. The adjusted classic curve sits between those styles. A selectable profile lets the same page serve guides, archives, and custom realms.

Use Charts and Exports

The chart gives a quick visual check. If one bracket wins by a small amount, a few rating gains can change the best choice. Use the target weekly point field to reverse estimate needed rating. This is helpful when planning a push for weapons, shoulders, or a saved purchase.

Exports make the tool easier to reuse. CSV works for spreadsheets and team notes. PDF works for saving a weekly snapshot. Keep one record before reset and another after reset. Over time, the reports show how rating, win rate, and eligibility affected progress.

For cleaner decisions, review every bracket after your final games. Do not rely on memory from earlier sessions. A late losing streak, skipped team, or low participation value can change the payout. Recheck numbers near reset, export the result, and share it with teammates before spending saved points each week.

FAQs

What does this calculator estimate?

It estimates weekly TBC arena points from ratings, brackets, games, and eligibility settings. It also compares brackets and highlights the highest eligible reward.

Why are 2v2 and 3v3 points lower?

Those brackets use reduced multipliers. The calculator applies 0.76 for 2v2, 0.88 for 3v3, and full value for 5v5.

Why does eligibility matter?

A bracket should meet the required games and activity settings before it pays points. Ineligible brackets can still be displayed for planning.

Which formula profile should I choose?

Use the anniversary profile for current anniversary style realms. Use adjusted or original profiles when checking older seasons, private rules, or archive data.

Can I plan a gear purchase?

Yes. Enter current points and a target item cost. The result shows estimated weeks needed and your projected total after the next reset.

What does reverse rating estimate mean?

It estimates the rating needed in each bracket to reach your selected weekly point target. It is a planning estimate, not a match prediction.

Why include a point cap?

Some realms or rulesets limit stored points. Set a cap to stop projections above that limit. Use zero when no cap applies.

Can I save my result?

Yes. Use CSV for spreadsheet work or PDF for a clean weekly record. Both options use the calculated result shown on the page.
