Formula Used
The calculator estimates composite proficiency levels from entered domain levels. It uses the following weighted formulas.
- Oral Language = Listening × 0.50 + Speaking × 0.50
- Literacy = Reading × 0.50 + Writing × 0.50
- Overall = Listening × 0.15 + Speaking × 0.15 + Reading × 0.35 + Writing × 0.35
The result is rounded down to the nearest half level. Optional track caps can also be applied. This mirrors common score report logic, but it is still an estimate.
