Formula used

Direct coefficient = adjusted cast time / 3.5.

Heal over time coefficient = duration / 15.

Area coefficient = direct coefficient × 0.5.

Final coefficient = base coefficient × level penalty × manual coefficient percent.

Bonus healing = healing power × final coefficient.

Expected heal = normal heal × [1 + crit chance × (crit multiplier - 1)].

Effective heal = expected heal × (1 - overheal percent).

Healing per mana = effective total healing / mana cost.

WoW Classic Healing Power Guide

Healing power changes how each spell rank performs. It does not add the full item value to every cast. Each spell receives a coefficient. That coefficient decides how much bonus healing is added. Long direct heals usually gain more value. Fast heals gain less value. Heal over time spells spread their bonus across ticks. Area healing may receive a smaller share.

Why Coefficients Matter

A healer often chooses between speed, mana, and safety. A larger rank may heal more, but it can waste mana. A lower rank can be efficient when incoming damage is steady. This calculator helps compare those choices. It estimates normal healing, expected crit value, effective healing, and mana return. It also shows overheal loss. That number matters because wasted healing gives no benefit.

Downranking and Spell Value

Classic players often downrank to save mana. The best rank is not always the highest rank. It depends on gear, talents, target damage, and encounter length. A spell learned at a lower level may need a penalty. The tool includes a level penalty switch and a manual penalty field. This lets you test special ranks or private server data. You can also enter a custom coefficient when a spell has unusual behavior.

Using Results in Raids

Use the result as a planning guide. It is not a perfect combat log replacement. Boss mechanics, latency, resist events, movement, and missed casts can change real output. Repeat with another rank. The better rank is usually the one that meets damage needs while wasting the least mana.
