This calculator applies a CAIDE-style educational scoring model. It assigns weighted points to age, education, sex, systolic blood pressure, body mass index, total cholesterol, and physical activity.
Total Score = Age + Education + Sex + Blood Pressure + BMI + Cholesterol + Activity
| Profile | Age | Education | SBP | BMI | Cholesterol | Activity | Score | Estimated Risk |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Active professional | 44 | 16 years | 124 | 24.1 | 4.8 | Active | 1 | 1.0% |
| Borderline cardiovascular profile | 52 | 9 years | 148 | 31.2 | 6.9 | Inactive | 13 | 16.4% |
| Improved lifestyle profile | 52 | 9 years | 132 | 27.0 | 5.5 | Active | 6 | 1.9% |
The output is best used as a structured discussion aid for midlife prevention. Dementia risk is multifactorial, and a calculator cannot capture genetics, hearing loss, smoking, diabetes, depression, sleep disorders, trauma history, or detailed clinical findings.
Use the result to support conversations about cardiovascular health, physical activity, weight management, and long-term brain health. If there are memory symptoms now, formal medical evaluation is more important than score estimation.
