Formula Used

Pure alcohol mL = Serving mL × ABV ÷ 100 × Count.

Alcohol grams = Pure alcohol mL × 0.789.

Standard drinks = Alcohol grams ÷ 14.

Calories = Alcohol grams × 7.

Estimated BAC = ((Alcohol grams ÷ (Weight kg × 1000 × r)) × 100) − (Metabolism rate × Hours).

Hydration target = Standard drinks × 250 mL.

Weekly spend = Weekly standard drinks × average cost per standard drink.

The constant r is the body water factor. This tool uses 0.73, 0.66, or 0.70 by default.

FAQs

1. What does this calculator measure?

It estimates alcohol grams, standard drinks, calories, cost, hydration target, and BAC. It also summarizes weekly intake with projections.

2. Is the BAC result exact?

No. It is only an estimate. Food, medications, age, health, sleep, and drink timing can change real BAC significantly.

3. Why use standard drinks?

Standard drinks help compare beer, wine, and spirits on a common alcohol basis. They are useful for weekly tracking and budgeting.

4. Why does hydration appear here?

Water does not cancel alcohol, but tracking water can support awareness. This tool uses a simple session target for planning.

5. Can I use this before driving?

No. Never use this estimate to decide whether driving is safe. Use safer choices and avoid driving after drinking.

6. What is the body water constant?

It is a Widmark-style factor that adjusts alcohol distribution by body composition. You can use the default or enter a custom value.

7. Why do calories matter?

Alcohol contains energy. Tracking calories helps users understand how drinking affects nutrition goals, weight management, and weekly totals.

8. Can this tool replace professional advice?

No. It is for education and self-monitoring only. Seek medical or counseling support for health, dependence, or safety concerns.
