Formula Used

Gross area = wall length × wall height × wall count.

Net area = gross area − total opening area.

Block module area = ((block length + joint) ÷ 1000) × ((block height + joint) ÷ 1000).

Raw blocks = net area ÷ block module area.

Blocks to order = ceiling(raw blocks × (1 + waste percent ÷ 100)).

Mortar bags = ceiling(blocks to order ÷ mortar yield per bag).

Pallets = ceiling(blocks to order ÷ blocks per pallet).

Total estimate = block cost + mortar cost + labor cost + delivery + tax or markup.

Cost is estimated from block price and mortar bag price. This is not a full bid. It excludes labor, delivery, reinforcement, lintels, tax, tools, and waste disposal. Still, it gives a quick planning number for comparison.
