Formula Used

Standard host range: minimum = floor(BL - 0.20 × BL - 20), maximum = floor(BL + 0.20 × BL + 20).

Reverse host check: to find which hosts can summon you, solve the same inequality for the host's Blood Level and round upward.

Password co-op: when password matchmaking is enabled, this calculator treats co-op as unrestricted and reports the full BL 4 to BL 544 span.

Bloodborne Summon Range Guide

Why this calculator helps

Bloodborne co-op can feel confusing because the Beckoning Bell and Small Resonant Bell do not simply use a flat level difference. The game uses a percentage plus a fixed value, so the allowed range grows as Blood Level rises. This calculator turns that rule into an instant answer. It shows the levels you can summon, the host levels that can summon you, and a quick compatibility check for a specific friend.

How summon planning works

When you host a session, your Blood Level sets the standard co-op window. Lower levels stay narrow, while higher levels gain a broader range. That matters when you plan boss help, chalice dungeon runs, or route progression with another hunter. Instead of guessing whether two players are close enough, you can check both directions. A one-way match can happen, so seeing host and guest perspectives together is useful.

Why the reverse range matters

Many players only check who they can summon. That is helpful, but it does not answer every matchmaking question. You may also want to know which hosts can call you in. That reverse range is especially useful for players building around co-op support, helping random hosts, or choosing a stopping point for a dedicated character. The calculator includes both views so you can make better build decisions.

Password sessions and practical use

Password co-op changes the situation because the standard level restriction is bypassed. That makes planned sessions easier, especially when one player is far ahead in progression or farming. Even then, standard ranges remain useful for open matchmaking without a shared password. Use this page to compare levels, review the formula, export results, and keep a practical reference while planning a co-op build or helping friends through difficult fights.

FAQs

1. What does this calculator measure?

It estimates Blood Level matchmaking ranges for standard Bloodborne co-op. It also checks a target level and shows which hosts can summon you.

2. Does password matchmaking ignore level limits?

Yes. For co-op, a shared password bypasses the normal level range. This calculator then reports the full Blood Level span as available.

3. Why are there two different ranges?

One range shows who you can summon as host. The other shows which host levels can summon you. Those results are related, but not identical.

4. Why can a match be one-way?

The host range uses the host's level. Because the formula scales from that level, one player may fit another player's range without the reverse being true.

5. Why does the range grow at higher levels?

The formula includes twenty percent of Blood Level plus twenty flat levels. As Blood Level rises, the percentage part increases the allowed spread.

6. What is the lowest and highest Blood Level here?

This page clamps results between BL 4 and BL 544. That keeps the calculator inside the normal playable Blood Level bounds.

7. Can I use this for random co-op planning?

Yes. It is useful for choosing a stopping level, checking friendly build targets, and planning public co-op without a password.

8. What do the CSV and PDF buttons export?

They export the current calculated summary. CSV downloads the values as rows, while PDF saves the result area and graph for reference.
