Formula Used

The calculator uses matrix entries aij, where i is the row and j is the column. It calculates row totals, column totals, total sum, mean, rank, transpose, determinant, trace, transformation, normalization, covariance, and correlation when enough data is available.

Row sum: Ri = ai1 + ai2 + ... + ain
Column sum: Cj = a1j + a2j + ... + amj
Transformed value: bij = scale × aij + offset
Normalized value: nij = (aij - min) / (max - min)
Trace: tr(A) = a11 + a22 + ... + ann
Determinant: det(A) is found by cofactor expansion for square matrices.
Rank: rank(A) is estimated through row reduction.
Correlation: r = covariance(x,y) / (standard deviation x × standard deviation y)

If the matrix is not square, determinant and trace are not shown. Rank, totals, graphs, transpose, and normalization still work for rectangular matrices.
