Formula used

Prepared input: P = prepend || transformed_input || append

Standard mode: H₁ = SHA256(P) and Hₙ = SHA256(Hₙ₋₁) for repeated iterations.

HMAC mode: H₁ = HMAC_SHA256(K, P) and Hₙ = HMAC_SHA256(K, Hₙ₋₁), where K is the secret key.
