Understanding Boom Beach Damage Calculations
Damage planning helps compare attacks before entering a battle. This calculator uses editable values for flexible combat modeling. Enter current game statistics for the attacker first. Add unit count when multiple troops attack together. Base DPS describes damage delivered during each second. Attack interval converts DPS into estimated damage per shot. Faster attacks reduce the effective time between shots. Damage bonuses increase the attacker's calculated output. Statue bonuses can be entered as separate percentages. Hero effects can be included with another percentage field. Event bonuses also fit inside the manual modifier fields. Engraving changes can be modeled with dedicated inputs. Defensive boosts increase target health when appropriate. Mitigation reduces damage reaching the selected target. Remaining health supports partially damaged buildings or troops. The calculator then estimates required shots and destruction time.
Using Timing and Shock Windows
Combat duration estimates total damage across a chosen period. Shock duration creates a second useful timing comparison. This value shows damage possible during that window. Attack speed modifiers adjust the effective firing interval. Positive speed values create more frequent attacks. Negative values slow attacks and reduce repeated damage. Splash factors estimate damage across several effective targets. Use one for normal single-target calculations. Manual activations can represent abilities or fixed attack counts. Those fields remain optional for simpler calculations.
Comparing Alternative Setups
Comparison mode tests another army without replacing primary inputs. Enter different DPS, units, bonuses, and mitigation values. The results show both estimated damage rates together. A percentage difference highlights the stronger numerical damage output. Target health remains shared between both setups. This keeps the comparison consistent and easier to interpret. Indirect damage can reduce headquarters health before direct attacks. Enter those percentages only when your scenario requires them. A health floor prevents excessive indirect damage assumptions. Current game balance can change after official updates. Therefore, editable values are safer than permanent hidden statistics. Save exported results when comparing several battle plans. CSV files support spreadsheets and later calculations. PDF reports preserve the visible combat summary. Careful inputs produce clearer comparisons and smarter combat planning.
