Why this calculation matters
A C208 weight and balance check supports safe loading decisions. The calculation shows the loaded aircraft weight, total moment, and center of gravity. What the inputs mean
Each station needs a weight and an arm. Weight is the load at that station. Arm is the distance from the datum. Moment is weight multiplied by arm. Empty aircraft data should come from the latest aircraft weighing record. Passenger, baggage, cargo, and fuel values should match the planned flight. The calculator uses a fuel density value so gallons can be converted into pounds.
Understanding the result
Ramp weight includes payload and starting fuel. Takeoff weight subtracts taxi fuel. Landing weight subtracts taxi fuel and trip fuel. Zero fuel weight removes usable fuel from the aircraft loading. The loaded center of gravity is found by dividing total moment by total weight. If a mean aerodynamic chord value is supplied, the tool also gives percent MAC.
Use official limits
The limit fields are editable because every aircraft can be different. A C208 may have configuration changes, equipment changes, or approved supplements.
