Pick a mode, enter values, and press Calculate. Units are converted internally to SI for consistency.
Formula used
The isothermal bulk modulus measures resistance to uniform compression at constant temperature.
- KT = -V (∂P/∂V)T
- For finite readings (small strain): K ≈ -ΔP / (ΔV/V)
- Rearrangements used here: ΔV/V ≈ -ΔP/K and β = 1/K
Sign check: when pressure increases, volume usually decreases, making K positive.
How to use this calculator
- Select a mode (compute K, compute V2, compute ΔP, or compute β).
- Choose units for pressure, volume, and K output.
- Enter measured values carefully and keep temperature constant.
- Press Calculate to see the results above the form.
- Use the export buttons to save CSV or PDF reports.
Tip: keep |ΔV/V| small for best accuracy in K-based modes.
