Understanding Force Point Planning
KOTOR treats Force points like a resource pool. A Jedi spends that pool when using powers. The pool changes with Jedi class, Jedi level, Wisdom modifier, Charisma modifier, and special bonuses. This calculator turns those parts into a clear build estimate. It also checks how many times one power can be used before the pool is empty.
Class And Attribute Impact
Guardian builds gain fewer points each Jedi level. They often lean on weapons, feats, armor choices, and strong defenses. Sentinel builds sit between combat and casting. Consular builds gain the most points per Jedi level. They also fit characters that use powers often. Wisdom and Charisma are important because their modifiers are added each Jedi level. A score of 14 gives a +2 modifier. A score of 8 gives a -1 modifier. Those small changes become large over many Jedi levels.
Bonuses And Mastery
The main character can include the Force Sensitive bonus. This adds a flat value after the level formula. A dark side Consular can also gain a mastery bonus. Extra bonuses let you model house rules, save editors, mods, or special build notes. Keep them separate from class and ability values. That makes comparisons easier.
Power Cost And Alignment
The tool also estimates adjusted power cost. Universal powers keep their normal cost. Light side and dark side powers can become cheaper or more expensive as alignment moves. This helps you compare a neutral build with a focused light or dark build. It is useful before long Star Forge style fights, where repeated casting matters.
Regeneration View
Normal recovery outside combat fills the pool over a fixed time. The calculator converts that into points per second. Regenerate Force Points bonuses add periodic recovery. In combat, that bonus can matter more because normal recovery is limited. The result shows casts, remaining points, recovery rate, and time from empty to full.
Build Use
Use the result as a planning guide, not a roleplay rule. KOTOR has gear, powers, companions, and combat choices. A larger Force pool helps, but smart timing matters too. Test several classes and attribute spreads before committing. Save each result, then compare CSV records against your preferred combat plan after careful testing.
