Total footprint = heating emissions + supply emissions + wastewater emissions + pumping emissions + bottled water emissions + transport emissions.

Heating energy = water mass × 4.186 × temperature rise ÷ 3600 ÷ heater efficiency.

Heating emissions = heating energy × heat emission factor.

Supply emissions = treated water volume in m³ × supply factor.

Wastewater emissions = used tap water volume in m³ × wastewater factor.

Pumping emissions = treated m³ × pumping kWh per m³ × electricity factor.

Transport emissions = water tonnes × distance × truck factor.

Bottled emissions = bottled liters × bottled water factor.
