Formula Used
Credited Sales
Credited Sales = (Gross Sales − Returns) × Split Percentage
Tiered Commission
Each sales band is multiplied by its own rate, then all tier commissions are added together.
Accelerator Uplift
Accelerator Uplift = Commission Above Trigger × (Multiplier − 1)
Final Net Payout
Net Payout = Gross Commission − Deductions − Tax Withholding
Gross Commission combines base tier commission, accelerator uplift, override commission, fixed bonus, and team bonus.
Quota Attainment = Credited Sales ÷ Quota Target × 100

FAQs
1. What does credited split mean?
Credited split is the percentage of net sales assigned to you. Use 100% for fully owned deals, or lower values for shared opportunities.
2. How do tier caps work?
Tier caps define sales bands. Tier 1 covers sales up to its cap, Tier 2 covers the next band, and Tier 3 applies above Tier 2.
3. How does the accelerator apply?
The accelerator increases commission earned above the trigger point. For example, a 1.25 multiplier adds 25% extra commission on the accelerated portion only.
4. Are returns removed before commission is calculated?
Yes. Returns and refunds are subtracted from gross sales first. The calculator then applies the split percentage to determine credited sales.
5. Can I use bonuses and overrides together?
Yes. The calculator adds fixed bonus, team bonus, and override commission to your base tiered commission before deductions and taxes.
6. Why is my net payout lower than gross commission?
Gross commission is reduced by draw recovery, manual deductions, and withholding tax. The remaining amount is your estimated net payout.
7. What happens if I do not use a quota?
If quota is zero, quota attainment becomes zero and no accelerator trigger is used. Tiered commissions, bonuses, overrides, and deductions still calculate normally.
8. Is this suitable for payroll or plan administration?
It is best for estimates, planning, and reconciliation checks. Always compare final numbers with your official compensation plan and payroll records.
