Formula used

1) Category formulas
Technical Setup = Average of viewport score and responsive breakpoint score.
Content Fit = Entered content fit percentage.
Readability = Average of font score and line height score.
Touch Targets = Tap target score from average touch size.
Speed = Average of LCP score, INP score, and page weight score.
Layout Stability = Score from CLS.
Media & Forms = Average of image optimization and form usability scores.
Penalty Control = Average of interstitial score and issue-count score.
2) Overall score formula
Overall Score = (Technical Setup × 0.16) + (Content Fit × 0.12) + (Readability × 0.10) + (Touch Targets × 0.10) + (Speed × 0.18) + (Layout Stability × 0.10) + (Media & Forms × 0.12) + (Penalty Control × 0.12)
3) Opportunity estimate
Current Mobile Conversions = Mobile Sessions × Conversion Rate.
Improvement Factor = ((100 − Overall Score) ÷ 100) × 0.35, capped at 35%.
Recoverable Conversions = Current Mobile Conversions × Improvement Factor.
Recoverable Value = Recoverable Conversions × Average Conversion Value.
This checker is a prioritization model. It helps compare mobile usability inputs consistently, but it does not replace a full live audit, crawler, or analytics platform.

Frequently asked questions

1) What does this calculator measure?

It estimates mobile usability quality using weighted inputs for responsiveness, readability, touch targets, speed, layout stability, forms, and issue severity. It is designed for prioritization, not direct crawling.

2) Is this a live mobile test tool?

No. You enter the values from audits or measurements you already collected. The calculator turns those inputs into a consistent score and an action-focused summary.

3) What score should I aim for?

A score above 85 is strong. Scores from 70 to 84 are usable but still leave room for improvements. Scores below 70 deserve closer attention.

4) Why do LCP, INP, and CLS matter here?

These metrics describe loading, responsiveness, and layout stability. Poor values often create frustration on smaller screens and can weaken conversions, retention, and perceived quality.

5) Why are touch targets important?

Small buttons and crowded links increase mis-taps. Larger, better-spaced controls reduce frustration and make navigation easier for thumb-based mobile use.

6) Can I use this for ecommerce and lead generation pages?

Yes. The opportunity estimate uses mobile sessions, conversion rate, and average value, so it works for stores, service sites, landing pages, and lead forms.

7) Does a high score guarantee better rankings?

No. Rankings depend on many factors. A high mobile usability score improves experience and can support performance, but it does not guarantee search position changes.

8) How often should I run this checker?

Run it after design changes, template releases, major content updates, or Core Web Vitals regressions. Monthly reviews are also useful for high-traffic pages.
