Formula Used

Raw percent = points earned ÷ points possible × 100.

Adjusted percent = raw percent plus selected curve, plus extra credit, minus penalty.

Projected course grade = current grade × (1 − exam weight) + adjusted exam percent × exam weight.

Needed test percent = (desired grade − current grade × (1 − exam weight)) ÷ exam weight.

Z score = (adjusted percent − class mean) ÷ class standard deviation.

Estimated percentile uses the normal distribution from the calculated z score.
