Example Data Table

Planet Input Position Division D10 Result Career Note
Ascendant Aries 12°00'00" 5 Leo Career frame begins with authority themes.
Sun Taurus 18°00'00" 7 Cancer Public role may need support skills.
Moon Gemini 06°00'00" 3 Leo Mind links work with visibility.
Mars Cancer 27°00'00" 10 Libra Action may favor clients and balance.

Formula Used

Step 1: Convert sign, degree, minute, and second into longitude inside the selected sign.

Step 2: If tropical mode is selected, subtract the correction value. Normalize the result within 360 degrees.

Step 3: Divide the sign into ten parts. Each part is three degrees.

D10 part: floor(degree inside sign ÷ 3) + 1.

Odd signs: Aries, Gemini, Leo, Libra, Sagittarius, and Aquarius start from themselves.

Even signs: Taurus, Cancer, Virgo, Scorpio, Capricorn, and Pisces start from the ninth sign.

D10 sign: start sign + D10 part - 1. The count wraps after Pisces.

House: distance from D10 Ascendant sign + 1.

Score: house base points + dignity points + focus bonus.

Understanding a D10 Chart

A D10 chart, also called Dashamsha, is used in Vedic astrology for career reading. It studies how planets express professional effort, status, duty, and public action. This calculator does not replace a full birth chart. It gives a structured statistical view from entered longitudes.

Why This Tool Helps

Manual D10 work can become slow. Each sign has ten equal divisions. Each division covers three degrees. Odd signs count from the same sign. Even signs count from the ninth sign. A small mistake can move a planet to another result. The tool reduces that risk and keeps every step visible.

Reading the Output

Start with the D10 Lagna. It sets the professional frame. Then study planets in the first, sixth, seventh, tenth, and eleventh houses. These houses often show work identity, effort, clients, authority, and gains. Strong scores do not promise success. They highlight where the chart deserves attention.

Statistical View

The sign, element, and modality counts give a quick pattern check. Many fire placements can show drive. Earth can show practical execution. Air can show planning and communication. Water can show support, care, and adaptable service. Cardinal signs point toward action. Fixed signs point toward persistence. Mutable signs point toward adjustment.

Using It Carefully

Use accurate sidereal planetary positions when possible. If you enter tropical positions, apply an ayanamsa correction. Birth time accuracy is important for the Ascendant and houses. The calculator is best for learning, comparison, and record keeping. For serious interpretation, combine D10 results with the main chart, planetary periods, transits, and real career history.

Practical Benefit

A clear D10 worksheet can support repeated review. You can test alternate birth times, compare charts, or save CSV notes. The export buttons help keep evidence organized. Over time, this makes interpretation more consistent and easier to explain.

Common Workflow

First enter the Ascendant and planets from a reliable ephemeris. Keep the same zodiac system for every entry. Next submit the form and inspect the D10 sign table. Check repeated signs, house concentration, and dignity notes. Export the result before changing data. This habit makes each comparison clean. It also helps you notice which professional themes repeat across tests. Use notes to refine careful long term judgments.

FAQs

What is a D10 chart?

A D10 chart is a divisional chart used in Vedic astrology. It focuses on career, public work, authority, reputation, and professional output.

Is this calculator connected with AstroSage?

No. This is an independent calculator layout. It uses common Dashamsha rules and lets you export your own calculated worksheet.

Which positions should I enter?

Enter sidereal sign, degree, minute, and second for each planet. Use the Ascendant if you want D10 house results.

Can I enter tropical positions?

Yes. Select tropical mode and enter a correction degree. The calculator subtracts that value before applying the D10 division rule.

What does the score mean?

The score is a simple statistical guide. It combines house weight, selected dignity points, and the chosen career focus bonus.

Does a high score guarantee career success?

No. A high score only marks a placement for review. Full interpretation needs the main chart, timing, context, and real life choices.

Why is the Ascendant important?

The D10 Ascendant sets the house structure. Without it, sign results still work, but house-based career areas cannot be measured.

What exports are included?

The CSV button saves table data for spreadsheets. The PDF button saves the visible result summary for reports and records.
