Calculator Inputs

Base Stats

DVs

DVs range from 0 to 15. This tool allows direct HP DV entry for flexible analysis.

Stat Experience

Stat experience ranges from 0 to 65,535 for each stat.

Example Data Table

Pokémon Level DV Set Stat Experience Use Case
Pikachu 50 15 across all stats 65,535 across all stats Maximum trained comparison
Charizard 75 10 across all stats 32,000 across all stats Mid training estimate
Mewtwo 100 15 across all stats 65,535 across all stats Endgame benchmark

Formula Used

HP:

HP = floor(((((Base + DV) × 2) + floor(sqrt(Stat Experience) ÷ 4)) × Level) ÷ 100) + Level + 10

Attack, Defense, Speed, and Special:

Stat = floor(((((Base + DV) × 2) + floor(sqrt(Stat Experience) ÷ 4)) × Level) ÷ 100) + 5

Special is one combined stat in Gen 1. It represents both special attacking and special defending behavior.

Why Gen 1 Stats Matter

A Pokémon Gen 1 stat build depends on level, base stats, DVs, and stat experience. These parts work together, so small changes can create visible battle differences. It shows each final stat and summarizes the spread with useful statistical values.

Core Inputs

Gen 1 uses DVs instead of modern IVs. Each DV ranges from 0 to 15. A perfect DV adds more power before level scaling. Stat experience also matters. It ranges from 0 to 65,535. The game converts it through a square root step, then divides that value by four. Because of this, early stat experience gains feel stronger than later gains.

Formula Behavior

The HP formula is different from the other four stats. HP adds the current level and ten after scaling. Attack, Defense, Speed, and Special add five after scaling. Special covers both special attack and special defense in the first generation. This makes the Special stat important for many builds.

Using Results

Use the preset list when you want fast base values. Choose Custom when you need edited values, rom hack data, or manual testing. Then enter the level, DVs, and stat experience for each stat. Submit the form to view the stat table above the form. The tool also reports total stats, average stat, highest stat, lowest stat, range, and standard deviation.

Statistical Review

These statistics help compare builds beyond a single number. Total shows overall strength. Average shows the center of the profile. Range shows how uneven the spread is. Standard deviation shows whether one stat is far from the rest. A low deviation means stats are balanced. A high deviation means the Pokémon has sharper strengths and weaker areas.

Export And Planning

The CSV export is useful for spreadsheets. The PDF export is useful for reports and battle notes. Keep the entered values realistic for classic calculations. Level should stay between one and one hundred. DVs should stay between zero and fifteen. Stat experience should stay within the allowed maximum. With consistent inputs, the calculator gives clean Gen 1 stat estimates for planning, comparison, and learning. This helps trainers document changes before committing to a planned team.

FAQs

What does this calculator measure?

It calculates Gen 1 HP, Attack, Defense, Speed, and Special using level, base stats, DVs, and stat experience.

What are DVs?

DVs are Gen 1 hidden stat values. They range from 0 to 15 and increase final stats after level scaling.

What is stat experience?

Stat experience is an older training value. It improves stats through a square root bonus used inside the formula.

Why is HP calculated differently?

HP uses a special ending step. It adds the current level and ten instead of adding only five.

What does Special mean in Gen 1?

Special is one combined stat. It affects both special offense and special defense in first generation games.

Can I use custom base stats?

Yes. Select Custom Base Stats, then enter your own base values for every stat field.

What does standard deviation show?

It shows how spread out the final stats are. Higher values mean the stat profile is less balanced.

Can I download the results?

Yes. After calculation, use the CSV or PDF button above the result table to save your output.
