Example Data Table

Build Base Status Status Mods Pellets Multishot Main Damage Mix Expected Result
Slash Primer 30% 120% 1 2.0 Slash and Viral Good sustained proc flow
Shotgun Status 18% 180% 10 1.6 Heat and Corrosive Many proc rolls per trigger
Overcap Setup 45% 220% 1 3.0 Toxin and Slash Guaranteed procs with extra rolls

Formula Used

Modified status chance = Base status × (1 + Status mods ÷ 100) + Flat bonus.

Final status chance = Modified status chance × (1 + Target bonus ÷ 100).

Guaranteed procs per hit = floor(Final status chance ÷ 100).

Extra proc chance = decimal part of Final status chance ÷ 100.

Hit instances per trigger = Pellets or ticks × Multishot × Burst count.

Expected procs per trigger = Hit instances × Final status chance ÷ 100.

Expected procs per second = Expected procs per trigger × Triggers per second.

Status type weight = Damage type value ÷ Total entered damage.

How to Use This Calculator

Enter the weapon name first. Add the base status chance shown in your build screen. Enter all status chance bonuses as one total percentage. Use the flat bonus field only for direct added percentage effects. Add pellets, multishot, burst count, and fire rate. Then enter each damage type value from the build. Press the submit button. The result appears below the header and above the form. Use CSV or PDF buttons to save the report.

Warframe Status Chance Calculator Guide

A status build is more than one percentage. It joins chance, pellets, multishot, speed, and damage weights. This calculator turns those parts into readable estimates. It helps you compare weapon setups before you spend forma, endo, or testing time.

What status chance means

Status chance is the chance that one hit applies a status effect. When the final chance is below 100 percent, each hit can either proc or fail. When it reaches 100 percent, the hit guarantees one proc. Values above 100 percent add more rolls. For example, 145 percent means one guaranteed proc and a 45 percent chance for another proc on the same hit.

Why multishot matters

Multishot creates more hit instances. Shotgun pellets also create more hit instances. Each instance can roll status. That is why a weapon with modest chance can still create many procs per trigger pull. A 30 percent chance with ten pellets is very different from one bullet at 30 percent. The expected proc count rises as instances rise.

Damage weighting

Warframe chooses the status type from the weapon damage mix. Higher damage shares have higher status shares. If Slash is half of total listed damage, about half of successful procs should be Slash over many hits. This tool uses your entered damage values to estimate each type weight. It also estimates expected procs per trigger and per second for every listed damage type.

Build planning tips

Use the base chance from the arsenal. Add all status chance bonuses together. Enter pellets, burst count, and multishot carefully. Use fire rate for sustained estimates. Then compare expected stacks, probability of at least one proc, and dominant status type. Pure elemental weapons are easy to read. Mixed physical and elemental weapons need damage weights for better estimates.

Limits of the estimate

The tool is statistical. It predicts averages, not exact mission results. Enemy resistance, forced procs, hidden weapon rules, special mods, and ability interactions can change real outcomes. Beam weapons and unusual attacks may also behave differently. Still, the calculator is useful for planning. It shows which build creates reliable status pressure and which damage type will appear most often. Use it with simulacrum checks for final confirmation too.

FAQs

What is Warframe status chance?

It is the chance that a hit applies a status effect. The effect type is usually selected from the weapon damage distribution.

What happens above 100 percent status chance?

The hit gains guaranteed procs. The remaining decimal chance can add another proc. For example, 160 percent means one guaranteed proc and a 60 percent chance for another.

Does multishot increase status output?

Yes. More multishot means more hit instances. Each instance can roll status, so expected procs per trigger usually rise.

Why do pellets matter?

Pellets act like separate hit instances for estimates. A shotgun can apply more procs because many pellets may roll status during one trigger pull.

How is the status type selected?

The calculator weights each type by entered damage. A larger damage share means a larger chance that successful status rolls become that type.

Can this calculator handle beam weapons?

Yes, use Beam Tick mode. Enter hit ticks as the pellet value. Use fire rate to estimate sustained proc output.

Are forced procs included?

No. Forced procs from stances, weapon traits, or abilities are separate. Add them mentally or compare them with in-game tests.

Why are results called estimates?

Status rolls are random. The calculator shows expected averages. Real mission results can vary across enemies, shots, and special mechanics.
