Formula used
Ability modifiers use the standard score formula. Subtract ten from the score first. Divide that result by two. Round downward to the nearest integer.
Proficiency bonus begins at plus two. It increases every four character levels. Initiative normally uses the Dexterity modifier. Passive perception starts from ten plus Wisdom. Skill proficiency adds the proficiency bonus when selected. Hit points use class hit dice and Constitution. Higher levels receive a practical average hit increase.
Armor Class uses simplified equipment assumptions here. Heavy armor ignores most Dexterity benefits. Medium armor receives a limited Dexterity contribution. Light armor receives more benefit from Dexterity. Shields add defensive value for suitable classes. Spell save difficulty uses eight plus proficiency. It also adds the class spellcasting modifier. Spell attacks combine proficiency and that same modifier.
