About the Spin Wheel Generator
A spin wheel generator turns a list into a visual random selector. It works well for classrooms, giveaways, games, meals, tasks, and team choices. Add each option, customize its color, then spin the wheel. The pointer shows the selected result after the animation finishes. This page also tracks every winner for easy review.
The standard mode gives each active entry an equal chance. Weighted mode lets some choices receive greater probability. Set larger weights for choices needing stronger odds. The calculator updates percentages in the table automatically. This makes probability differences easy to inspect before spinning.
Elimination tools support tournament style decisions. Remove each winner after a spin, or prevent repeats. You can also spin repeatedly until only one option remains. Reset eliminated entries whenever another round should begin. These controls are useful for games and classroom activities.
Formula Used
Standard probability equals one divided by active choices. Weighted probability uses an entry weight and total weight. The formula is Entry Probability = Entry Weight ÷ Total Weight × 100. A weight of four receives twice the chance of two. Zero or invalid weights are corrected before calculations run.
How to Use This Calculator
Enter choices with one option on each line. Press Apply Entries to rebuild the wheel. Change colors, weights, title, speed, size, and label settings. Enable weighted mode when unequal chances are required. Press Spin Wheel to choose one active entry. The winner appears beside the wheel and enters history.
Use Remove Winner for automatic elimination after every spin. Prevent Repeat blocks previous winners without deleting their labels. Export history as CSV when records are needed. Import a simple CSV list to create a wheel quickly. Local saving stores your current configuration inside the browser.
Weighted Spin Wheels
Weighted wheels are useful when choices should not be equal. A prize wheel can give common rewards larger weights. Rare rewards can receive smaller weights. The visible segment size also reflects weighted probability. This provides a clear preview before any random selection occurs.
Common Uses
Teachers can select students, questions, teams, or activities. Families can choose meals, chores, movies, or weekend plans. Creators can run giveaways and random challenges. Teams can assign tasks or speaking order. The same wheel can also handle yes or no decisions.
Use clear entries and reasonable weights for better results. Review the probability table before important drawings. Keep history when transparency matters. Reset the wheel before starting another independent round. Simple controls make repeated random choices quick and clear.

Frequently Asked Questions
1. Is the wheel selection random?
Yes. The tool uses browser randomization to choose an eligible entry before the wheel animation ends.
2. Can I give choices different probabilities?
Yes. Enable weighted mode, then change each entry weight. Larger weights create larger selection probabilities.
3. Can winners be removed automatically?
Yes. Enable Remove winner after spin. The selected entry becomes eliminated after the result appears.
4. Can I stop the same winner repeating?
Yes. Enable Prevent repeat winners. Previous winners become unavailable until eliminated entries are reset.
5. Can I import choices from a CSV file?
Yes. Import a CSV containing choices. The tool accepts the first column as entry names.
6. Does the generator save my wheel?
Yes. Save Wheel stores settings locally in your browser. Load Saved restores that saved configuration.
7. Can I use the wheel on a phone?
Yes. The layout adapts to phones, tablets, and desktops. Controls remain touch friendly on smaller screens.
