Formulas Used
  1. Product per area = TargetRate / (ProductPercent / 100)
  2. Total product mass = ProductPerArea × AreaInRateUnits
  3. Wastage factor = Total × (1 + Waste% / 100)
  4. Liquid volume (L) = Mass(kg) / Density(kg·L⁻¹)
  5. Bag count = TotalMass / BagSize (rounded up)

Area conversions: 1 ha = 10,000 m² = 2.47105381 acres; 1 acre = 4046.8564224 m²; 1 m² = 10.7639104167 ft²; 1 kg = 2.2046226218 lb; 1 US gal = 3.78541 L.

How to Use
  1. Enter your field area and select the correct unit.
  2. Choose the agronomic rate unit and target nutrient.
  3. Input the recommended nutrient rate and product analysis.
  4. Select product type; add density for liquids to get volumes.
  5. Optionally set bag size and wastage, then run the calculation.
FAQs

Only the percent for the selected target nutrient is used. For example, if targeting N, the N% from the product analysis drives the product amount.

Yes. The calculator converts area to hectares for kg/ha or to acres for lb/acre automatically before computing totals.

Enter the nutrient %, select liquid, and provide density (kg/L). The tool converts mass to liters and gallons automatically.

Bag count is rounded up to ensure you have enough product on hand after applying the wastage factor.

No. Provide at least the percentage for the nutrient you’re targeting. The others are optional unless you plan different nutrient-based runs.
