Formula used
The calculator uses the Haversine formula for great-circle distance.

Adjusted distance: direct distance × (1 + route adjustment ÷ 100).
Effective speed: entered ground speed × (1 + wind adjustment ÷ 100).

Journey time: air time + taxi time + layover time.
Fuel estimate: (air hours + 35% of taxi hours) × hourly fuel burn.
Emissions: total miles × passengers × emission factor.
Ticket cost per passenger-mile: ticket price ÷ total selected trip miles.
