1. Can I use this for weighted subjects?
Yes. Enter a weight for every component. The calculator normalizes all weights automatically, so your result stays correct even when totals do not equal 100.
2. Does it support quizzes, labs, and projects?
Yes. Each row is a flexible assessment component. You can label rows as quiz, lab, assignment, presentation, viva, project, or final exam.
3. What happens if a subject is failed?
A failed component can change the overall status to Needs Improvement, even when the final score is above the general pass threshold. This helps reflect stricter academic rules.
4. What is the difference between raw and weighted percentage?
Raw percentage uses total marks only. Weighted percentage also considers the importance of each component. Weighted results are usually better for real academic grading systems.
5. Can I add bonus or grace marks?
Yes. Use attendance bonus and extra credit fields. The attendance bonus respects the bonus cap, and the final score is limited to 100%.
6. How is GPA calculated here?
The calculator maps the final grade to a GPA ratio, then multiplies that ratio by your chosen GPA scale. This gives a quick GPA-style estimate.
