Formulas Used

Adding GST (exclusive → inclusive)

Tax = Base × (Rate / 100)

Total = Base + Tax

CGST = Tax × 50% and SGST = Tax × 50% for intra‑state India

IGST = Tax for inter‑state India

Removing GST (inclusive → exclusive)

Base = Gross ÷ (1 + Rate / 100)

Tax = Gross − Base

Split the derived tax into CGST/SGST or IGST as above.

FAQs

Presets set sensible default rates and, for India, enable CGST/SGST (intra‑state) or IGST (inter‑state) splits automatically. You can still override the rate per row.

Exports now include CGST, SGST, and IGST columns alongside base, combined tax, and total for each row, plus overall totals.

Choose grouped bars to compare base tax and total per item, stacked bars to see composition per item, or a doughnut showing overall base versus tax totals.

CGST/SGST/IGST splitting is relevant to India. Other regions compute combined GST only, which is reflected in the GST column and overall totals.

Values display to two decimals by default; CSV preserves raw numeric precision as entered; PDF reflects the displayed precision.
