Example Data Table
| Model | Shape | Interior (cm) | Gross (L) | Usable (L) | Best Use |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Compact Countertop | Rectangular | 35 × 30 × 20 | 21.0 | 17.5 | Herb drying, small trays |
| Standard Built-in | Rectangular | 45 × 40 × 30 | 54.0 | 45.0 | Batch baking, seed sterilization |
| Round Clay Oven | Cylindrical | Ø60 × 35 | 98.9 | 82.0 | Large loaves, outdoor cooking |
Values are illustrative and assume typical clearance and fill settings.
Formula Used
- Rectangular volume: V = L × W × H
- Cylindrical volume: V = π × (D ÷ 2)² × H
- Net dimensions (clearance): subtract clearance from usable space.
- Usable volume (fill factor): Vusable = Vnet × (fill% ÷ 100)
- Pan fit (rectangular): floor division counts pans by footprint.
- Pan fit (round): area ratio with conservative packing.
Clearance protects airflow and reduces false “perfect fit” results.
How to Use This Calculator
- Measure the oven’s interior dimensions, not exterior.
- Select the closest shape and your units.
- Set clearance for airflow and safe handling.
- Choose a fill factor to reserve heat circulation space.
- Add pan sizes and rack count to estimate tray throughput.
- Press Calculate, then download CSV or PDF if needed.
